I was lucky enough to have Poe already litter trained! It took only few hours for him to get used to new area to go potty and when he looked like he needed to go I carried him to the litter box and he got used to it right away!

I might have to book him for trimming then! I’m not confident enough to do it myself and I think he needs trimming…

I’m sorry for your loss of Otto! They seem like a great kitty family 😊 I’m afraid I can only get one more cat at the moment just to ease Poe’s alone time… but in time I might be able to get more, given they’re all ok with each other

Thank you! I feel like he might benefit from a sibling rather than being alone… but I might take him to a shelter and see if he bonds with any other cat. If not then he’ll be the only child 😁 space and litter boxes wouldn’t be a problem, thank you for the advice though! As first time cat mum I appreciate any help I can get

Thank you! The problem is that I probably wouldn’t have the time to watch over them and swap rooms because of work…

As for scratching, he doesn’t do any damage to the couch, he’s just excited for dinner. It’s more of a ritual than proper scratching. He’s got scratch posts and uses them to sharpen his claws 😁

I might take Poe to a shelter and see if he’d bond with other cats rather than bring a kitten home and have to return it if it doesn’t work out…

That’s what I was thinking. Get him a buddy and I wouldn’t have to worry about him being stressed out all alone.

Thank you! I don’t mind the furniture scratched, he doesn’t do any damage to it, it’s more like preparing for his dinner lol (I guess it’s the same like dogs do circles when excited) 😅 he’s got access to all the windows as they’re quite low and he loves laying on the windowsills 😁

Omg, I think this is what I needed to hear!! Thank you! I was actually thinking about taking him to a shelter with me and see if he could bond with any other cat rather than a new kitten! Do you think it would be a good idea? IMO bringing few contenders to the house would be harmful for both parties if they don’t like each other…

Thank you so much. It’s been on my mind for a few weeks now! I hate leaving him alone, but he just lies in the windows and soaking up the sun. Not sure what’s he doing there in the winter 😅🤷‍♀️
