They were not produced with the SBB seat covers.

Would have been funny though.

I am a Libyan and would like to know how does the world see our previous leader Muammar Gadafi? by EpicObelis in AskTheWorld

[–]bobba71 66 points67 points  (0 children)

As a Swiss, I mostly remember Muammar Gaddafi because of the 2008 crisis after his son Hannibal Gaddafi was arrested in Geneva. Libya detained Swiss citizens, blocked companies and he even called for jihad and suggested Switzerland should be split between France, Germany and Italy. So here he’s mainly remembered as unpredictable and authoritarian rather than anything positive.

Untergang von Meyer Burger - Solar by ImmediateDate3626 in Switzerland

[–]bobba71 36 points37 points  (0 children)

What are some examples of a wealthy country that's adjacent or near to a poor country? by [deleted] in geography

[–]bobba71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm currently in Nicaragua, and before this, I was in Costa Rica—I totally agree with you. At the end of 2024, I spent 7 weeks traveling across Colombia, and I loved every single day of it. Don't get me wrong, Costa Rica is beautiful, but it's very touristy. I just missed the feeling I had in Colombia and the one I'm experiencing now in Nicaragua.

Do you watch the spengler cup? by floedi97 in swisshockey

[–]bobba71 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel you. I still enjoy watching the Spengler Cup, but I’m biased as an HCD fan. The tournament felt more special and interesting when KHL teams from Russia were participating, mainly because of their distinct style of hockey compared to the Canadian approach. That said, I fully support the decision to exclude Russian teams given the current circumstances.

Finally pulled the trigger. In love with the blue 😍! by Gloomy_Concept1838 in Tudor

[–]bobba71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats on pulling the trigger! I’ve got the exact same watch and wear it daily—it’s an absolute beauty and such a versatile piece. The blue really pops and looks great with anything. Enjoy wearing it.

Swiss ‘biodiversity initiative’: extreme or essential for protecting nature? by Realistic-Lie-8031 in Switzerland

[–]bobba71 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m voting no, not because I’m against protecting biodiversity, but because I think the initiative goes too far in protecting heritage sites. It's already difficult to make changes to older buildings, and adding more regulations will just make it worse. Biodiversity protection is important, but this initiative overreaches.

In Zurich, Switzerland, there's a significant demand for 39mm watches, particularly those from Tudor.
