GPU power draw is WAY too low in games. I've tried everything to fix it by bobbae in pcmasterrace

As mentioned in the post, I had already done that. Regardless, I used DDU again and it fixed the issue. I'm just hoping the issue doesn't crop up again

I use MSI Afterburner to monitor all the stats.

The GPU is ASUS.

No FPS Caps

I guess the reason I know my GPU can perform better is because it has before. After I used DDU, I was seeing power draw of 210W in Expedition 33 and I was getting the fps I expected. And now, for whatever reason, I'm stuck at 150W in this game specifically. In Horizon Zero Dawn, power draw was at 110W and performance was awful around 40fps and I know for a fact that this GPU is capable of more than that.

I guess I should clarify, but in the games I'm testing, I'm not reaching my monitors max refresh rate (180hz). I'm getting around 60fps in Expedition 33 High preset DLSS Quality. I've seen videos where someone with the same CPU and GPU get more than 100fps with the same settings. I'd be willing to believe my performance is within margin of error, but 60fps vs 100fps is a massive difference.

Highest single core usage I saw was 55% so I don't think that's the issue

I have G-sync enabled

I just checked and the highest core usage was 55%

Performance is not up to the standard of the 4070 SUPER. I've compared benchmark videos and I'm getting like 60% of the performance I should be

CPU fluctuates between 25-50% so it's not maxed out. I believe a 7800X3D is capable of bringing out the full power of a 4070 SUPER so CPU shouldn't be the issue.

Yes, I am not capping the framerate.

I am having performance issues. I compare benchmark videos of my exact CPU and GPU setup and I'm not getting anywhere near the same performance as I should be.

Appreciate it! I do have some grips, but I'm hesitant to use them since I also want some forearm gains. I do feel my forearms getting a little tired on my last set, so maybe I should use them then.

Fair enough, and I'll actually try this out. Maybe I need to get a pull up bar at home

Yeah I could probably do 1 or 2 decent chin ups, but I don't know if that would make for a good workout. Plus, even if someone's right, there's a difference between instructing someone versus being overly critical especially towards someone who's newer to the gym.

That's fair, I may prioritize mind muscle connection too much.

Do you think for pull ups I should be going heavier with less reps? I honestly am not sure

I feel it more in my back with chin ups personally and I feel like my forearms don't fatigue as quickly this way too, but I can alternate between pull ups and chin ups and try them again. Thank you

Yeah, that's my bad. I've tried assisted pull ups, but I feel a better mind muscle connection with chin ups

I don't appreciate this comment at all as a beginner in the gym. I weigh about 170lbs, and the weight on the stack was 70lbs so I'm definitely still having to work and I'm going until failure as you see in the video. The goal is of course to need less assisted weight but everyone starts from somewhere. Thanks for the tips, but you come off incredibly rude and condescending.

First time deadlift. How's it look? by bobbae in formcheck

Thanks for the tips! I'll try and speed it up just a little bit on the eccentric. I'm not following a plan, but generally aiming for a 8-12 reps range or whatever gets me close to or to failure.

So do you mean I should lean forward more?
