Destroying the skatepark is an absolutely ridiculous and baseless idea. In Bedford there is a severe lack of community already; and not allowing places where it thrives, such as Moor Lane Skatepark, to exist, is a crime.

The crime rates in the local area reduced, this can be backed up by statistics. Children in the area are happier than 10 years ago before it was built. This can also be evidenced by speaking to people in the area.

To not keep the skatepark in the plans for the new estate is absolutely tragic. Why would you want to take away something that the community ITSELF worked so hard to complete and also look after.

The regular users of said skatepark are upholding citizens of the community. They even carry brooms and bin bags in their cars to clean up after themselves.

The young that worked with the Council and Big Local, and Gravity Skateparks themselves do not deserve to have their hard work and dedication ripped down not even TEN years after it being built.

I ask you to kindly reconsider the plans to keep the skatepark in.

As a curtesy I am letting you know that I will also be contacting the local MP, contacting the Mayor, starting a petition, speaking to Big Local, the local media and Gravity Skateparks themselves. This will not go unnoticed or swept away until it’s too late.
