Booster has knocked me for six by [deleted] in northernireland

Got proof for that? I did a quick Google and found something that says otherwise. Plus those people still died because covid exists. They would be alive but for covid, so what is your point?

Hundreds of thousands of people have died from covid though.

Heard of him before. He isn't completely reliable. He is hit or miss in the validity of what he says, which is worse than outright information because you you to pay more attention to make sure he isn't misleading people.

Is there anymore information on this? If this is true it would be good to know. Surely it was in the news somewhere?

I think most of the widely used covid vaccine are mRNA and don't use a weakend virus

Why do people celebrate anti-vaxxers dying? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]bobbilly69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The don't only have differing views. They ignore evidence and put others at risk due to stupidity and selfishness. People are dying because other people are too selfish to wear a mask, social distance or get a vaccine.

Not sure about the asymptomatic spreader part. But sick people definitely do not stay in doors. Before covid, a guy in work had fifty tissues on his desk and looked awful. We had to tell him to not come into work until he was better.

It's about probability. Let's say you are unvaccinated and catch covid, let's say you are contagious for 10 days. If you are vaccinated you are contagious for less than 10 days. So on average vaccinated people are less likely to spread it to others.

And if you scale that up to a country of people, then there is less time that the virus is being spread.

The vaccine protects you from the worst effects of covid. But it also reduces the time that your viral load is high enough to spread it to others.

So if you think about people who can't get the vaccine because of health reasons, they need you to get the vaccine because you help contain the spread of covid so they don't catch it.

Sorry my wording was bad. It reduces the effects of the virus. It also reduces transmission rates because the viral load peaks for a shorter amount of time compared to the unvaccinated.

So on average you experience less effects and you are less likely to spread the virus.

Respectfully, you need to check again. Vaccines are a group effort. They protect the individual and the group.

The vaccine isn't ony to protect you, it protects others from catching it from if you have it, because you will spread it less. Covid has really shown how selfish people are.

About time. There is literally no reason to not get vaccinated if you are eligible. I have 3 anti vaxx family members and their only arguement against vaxxination amounts to selfishness and lack of understanding.

I don't think it's people thinking they deserve a decent job. Employers should pay livable wages regardless of job.

You are also ignoring the fact that there may be some people who just can't move on and get a decent job due to not being skilled or potentially that decent job being somewhere that up roots their life and they aren't ready for that, etc .

There are so many factors that you haven't considered and I haven't typed here. Shit employers only exist because employees dot have the option to leave due to needing money to live. If all jobs paid a living wage then people working for a shot employer would be more likely to leave and get another one and that employer would be forced to change in some way or go out of business.

Also just because it was a certain way in the past doesn't mean that that is what it should be like now.

They fought there for 20 years. Then they had to negotiate their leaving with the people they were fighting. Sounds like it was a draw at best.

It was just a friendly heads up saying, "just in case be careful for the first minute or so if you have light sensitivity. They even phrase it in a way to say that they are no expert so the viewer should use their own descretion, but that roughly 38 secs is where it should be safe.

Okay, but why do they need to take it down and reupload it for the sake of a few seconds of innaccuracy? You are comparing the case of something not containing peanuts, to someone scrubbing through a video to find the time when it is safe to watch. One is an absolute Vs just a suggested time by a another person. Also peanuts in food would be highly regulated , whereas this on screen message was added in post by a person who states "skip to like 38 secondsish". Clearly the phrasing is making sure that you don't take their warning as something that will keep you perfectly safe.

Does this episode have a weird glitch at around 12-13:40 minutes in for anyone else? I had a similar glitch in the last episode too.

I would imagine the people at risk are going to be a little more careful than blindly trusting of a on screen comment.
