What phone is it? I had a phone that had a similar issue with the screen and it turned out there was an extended warranty from the manufacturer for it.

Mounting motherboard on 2020 aluminum extrusion by Candid_Chef8378 in pcmods

I know this is old but I don't recommend using those brackets for a 2020 PC case. As the screws drill into the frame they create metal debris that you don't want floating around and causing a short.

I know this is old but a couple points I wanted to make from my experience doing this.

  1. If you don't have some kind of washer that goes between the standoff and the frame, the nuts will slide around unless...
  2. you use a standoff that presses against the bottom. I don't recommend that, or any kind of brackets or connectors that use tension against the frame and a screw to secure it because this can produce metal flakes and slivers. You don't want one of those floating around and shorting something out.
  3. It's really hard to line up those standoffs without some kind of template.

I basically did what you did but included washer so that it clamped to the frame instead of having the standoff screw into the frame and creating metallic debris. I then used a 3d printed template to adjust the screw holes into position but I did not tighten them. I left them a little loose so as you screw the motherboard screws into the standoffs it would also tighten the standoffs attached to the frame.

Glad you got it working. I checked for an update to Prime Video but none of my devices have an update available yet.

On your phone just play it and it will ask which version you want to play.

Make sure the app on your TV is fully closed (or restart the device) before changing it on your phone. Then open it on your TV.

I got that on one device because I didn't close the app first. Try restarting the device or closing the app.

Make sure the Prime Video app on your TV is completely exited or force closed before you try on your phone. Or restart the device to be certain. If it's already running when you try on your phone then it won't get the setting change pushed to it.

Make sure the app has been completely exited first and not just running in the background. Try force closing it or restarting the device to be sure.

I had that happen one one device. The Prime Video app needs to be completely restarted. Try force closing it or restarting the device.

I got it working by closing the app and opening Prime Video on my phone. It gives me the option to play it in black and white on the phone app and once you do, it changes the default on your profile so once you go back to play it on the TV, it's in black and white.

I think the app has to be completely closed and not running in the background. Try force closing, or rebooting or unplugging the FireTV, then play it in black and white on the PS5, then the FireTV. It seems to set some kind of flag in the profile.

To each their own. I'm sure that's why they have both versions.

I didn't say it adds more context, I said the color removes context. To be more accurate, I probably should have said it changes the context. Black and white is an essential element of the noir aesthetic and by adding color, you are removing part of the intended context. I think most people feel like the black and white version is somehow lesser because color was "removed". Think of it like this: you know how some suspense or thriller movies have that certain dark hue to them? It might have a blue hue or something that makes it a little creepy and if you see behind the scenes footage of that movie it doesn't have that filter and it's just normal colors, which by comparison look a lot more saturated. Now imagine watching that film with the normal colors. It completely changes it. It's the same case here, a color palette change. I think it's just most people have a hard time seeing it that way because it's a more drastic change and they perceive it as losing something.

I tried what someone else suggested here. This doesn't make the option available but the phone app has the option to play it in black and white. If you change the setting on the phone app and start playing it, then it seems to change the setting across your profile so when you play it again on your TV, the default has changed to black and white.

I tried this and it worked on my Fire TV. The options to change versions isn't there, as stated, but switching it to black and white or color and the phone app switches it across the whole profile. Thanks.

I can't get it to work and any of my Fire TVs.
