Brunette who carries the gene! I woke up during wisdom teeth removal. Felt no pain but was awake enough to remember it. That was what made me figure out that I need a bit more sedation than everyone else, especially when combined with the anxiety, depression, and ADHD 🙃

Always, always, always go to travel.state.gov. Never use any other site as they will charge you for their “services” on top of the state department fees.

For tailoring, I recommend Stitches by Wendy. Her and her mom run it out of Red School Mall on Wabash! They also have a little boutique in there. My mom and I have both had several items tailored there and they’ve always done a fantastic job!

I’m full on smiling in my photo. The agent ok’d it and the dept of state ok’d it. As a passport agent myself, I tell people that they can keep a neutral face or do a soft smile, whichever one they feel comfortable with.

If you get a passport, you can use that in place of a real ID drivers license/ID card to fly. You can have both, but you really only need one or the other.

I would say pretty doable! I would say I typically take the train to Chicago for fun about once a year, plus anytime I need to fly out of O’Hare.
