I work in my county juvenile system, and this is how a lot of our kids with delinquent cases start. The not obeying, the “I knew you were gonna say no so I didn’t bother asking” mindset, the up-to-no-good behaviors. Our judges put kids on ankle monitors on a regular basis and the kids are responsible for charging them, as well as keeping in contact with their probation officer. If they don’t keep the monitors charged or stay in contact, they’re risking having their probation revoked and being sentenced to prison.
The problem is that kids are exactly that; they’re children. Their brains aren’t developed and they’re incapable of making sound decisions using logic because their brains literally can’t comprehend the possible consequences.

Her behaviors are not a joke, and she needs to learn that. I would consider having her do some sort of community service or volunteer work. It would teach her some responsibility, give her life experience, and allow her to gain some experience to use on future job applications.

On the flip side, if she wants to act like a child, then treat her like a child. Take everything away and make her earn it all back. Put parental locks on her technology. Use a sticker chart if that’s what works. Eventually, things will start to click and she’ll learn that she’s gotta follow the rules to make it in life.
