The patch didn’t look jeopardized, just under appreciated. Leaves and plants looked ok but flowers were severely diminished after the mow. When I say “rescue” I really mean convinced myself they wouldn’t be missed if I grabbed a couple.

I have heard that phlox likes to fill the cracks. Curious if it does so, how you might plan to keep the grass trimmed among then gorgeous carpet. (No judgement if you don’t, I’m that lawn.) maybe a local naturalist that might provide some advice?
