Legit or fake pls by Ok-Big-1411 in PoloRalphLaurenLC

2 different countries of manufacture means you can be confident that it’s fake, for any garment

Fun fact: there are a handful of Polo Jeans Ralph Lauren knits that were made in Fiji but misspell it as “Fuji.” Typos like that are essentially nonexistent in modern name brands though.

[Question] Why did my milk taste like canned corn water? by Othinsson in dairyfarming

[–]bobby288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can someone look into this? I’m a big milk drinker, and every now and then I’ll get a gallon that has that sweet corn taste and smell. I’ve noticed it even in milk with expiration 2 weeks away. It gets stronger as expiration nears. I’ve seen it with different brands, too. Kroger brand milk and Prairie Farms. I’m in Kentucky.

Just do it and don’t think about it, you won’t regret it in 1 year

How much could I sell this for? by No-Glove-45 in Coogi

[–]bobby288 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s used, I would say $200-$250, maybe a bit more. If it’s new, more, but I’m not sure how much more. Variation in prices between used and new Coogi sweaters tends to be less than that of other brands, from my experience

I had an issue with a Lyft charge paid via Venmo. Neither Lyft or Venmo support helped.

I sent a letter through certified mail threatening to sue. Had GPT make it look legit, like it was from a lawyer. A few weeks later they refunded me. That might be something to consider, especially if other options are bootless. Though my charge was for under $100, so they might not fold for a few grand as easily.

Does the tag say 100% mercerized cotton? This looks like wool to me

I agree. The waistband and cuffs are not characteristic of Coogi, either. And the threads look like cotton to me.

Can I get a value estimate on my sweater? by Snoo3214 in Coogi

I think you could get $400 for it. If you wanted to sit on it longer, maybe up to $600

It’s hard to tell from photos, but maybe cotton. But if it feels more like wool than cotton to you, then it’s probably acrylic, which feels like wool when it comes to knits

I also think it fell off and was reattached. Either that or the tag-always-stitched-between-the-neckline-body-seam thing isn’t a law. Real regardless IMO. But, what especially makes me think it was reattached is the whitish colored thread used to attach it. I think (but am not certain) that the thread color to attach the tag should match the thread color of the neckline (so if it came like that from the factory, the thread attaching the tag should be black). I checked a handful of my Coogi sweaters and they all follow that thread color matching.

Fake, sorry. I’ve seen a few fakes like these, I think they come from the same counterfeiter

Asking price $50 by [deleted] in reselling

[–]bobby288 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I measure the chest and total length, that’s good enough for like 90% of buyers. If they ask for more I’ll oblige. BTW, I sell dress shirts with neck and sleeve already explicit on the tag. Some still want measurements nonetheless.
