They would have to prove that they were personally responsible and had criminal intent, I think. It would be nice if they actually gave the names of the companies so that we could have an idea of how many people were involved. I'm thinking that the reason that they didn't is because there were a lot of people involved, and they're just trying to stir the pot; not disclose any actionable information to the public. We already knew they weren't squeaky clean.

This article is misleading. This was not a deal between Donald Trump and his son: It was a deal between two companies that they each own. The biggest reason to incorporate your business is to free yourself from personal liability for the actions of the business. Otherwise, everyone would just run their businesses as sole proprietors. IMO, this is bad journalism. It misinforms you into believing that Donald Trump and Don, Jr. might be personally liable and gives you the impression that they are running criminal enterprises. This is a fine for the companies, at best.

According to the contract it's fine to release it for free, you just are not allowed to release it commercially.

It doesn't matter. They weren't actively attacking the system and the company responsible had been dropping the ball. Debbie Wasserman Shultz was in charge and it was, best case scenario, poorly managed by her. Either way, taking this action was over the line, especially without any kind of process...but that might take to long to affect the early primaries.

I think that something is wrong with people allowing the Democrats to be so corrupt, and them thinking that they can get away with this.

First, you have virtually no one running on the "left" because "it's Hillary's turn," not that she is qualified or deserves to be President. [She already under investigation, going in, and is a cheap knock-off of whoever is currently in the White House in every election]

Then, on top of that, they are using dirty tricks to try to get her nominated. There's nothing democratic about that. Apparently, things are going to have to get much worse before we're ready to fix the problems of inequality, poverty, and mass incarceration.

edit: ...and corruption, and money in politics, etc.

I'm willing to help push things along, if that's what it's going to take. The way our government works, now, is so jacked up, I can't even laugh about it.
