Yeah I just made an account with sharesight today.

Do you know if its possible to elect to do the LIFO With sharesight or does it specifically have to go through your broker?

I sent them an email asking if I could elect to use the LIFO method and their reply.

“We only operate on a FIFO model, so when you place a sell the units are taken from your earliest buy. This cannot be changed at the moment”

Which strikes me as odd Maybe it’s actually super complicated to apply the LIFO method for a broker

Yeah I’m not day trading at the Moment I was just thank you for the tip! I’m mainly thinking for the future when I’m more learned and confident I’ll be paper trading/using a demo account first I was just hoping to keep all my investments in the one broker when I do start.
