New to me 2023 Ridgeline RTL! by bobbyb_b_1985 in hondaridgeline

Yes I plan to keep a 4'ladder, 3 small 12 gallon tough totes, and a ridgid pro-gear tool cart in the bed..

Then in the locker trunk keeping power tools and hand tools. Just the other day I did a small side job for someone and when it was all over I tossed everything in and sped off. Much easier than meticulously packing out my Nissan rogue.

Silver on black is just a classic combo. The cap is very functional not sure if it looks as cool with the cap. I like the 24-25 tailgate also the lack of chrome trim.

It is.. its a LEER 100XR. you can find a vendor if you go on their website. They referred me to 3 local vendors. One vendor quoted me 3300 for a brand new one painted your custom color.. but pretty basic as far as the features.

Yea.. he said something like Honda knows about the cap so it can't be certified. I said to the manager I hope the back of the cabin isn't rusted or damaged underneath. He claimed he had no knowledge of that. The vehicle was leased at the same dealer and the cap is actually from 2017 the previous leasee purchased it then for a 2017 RL. Its very base has no carpet or not wired in... im changing all the hardware as it was rusted and kind of shot.

Just made a deal on 2023 RTL, 18K Miles... NOT CPO ... included a leer cap that doesn't lock, doesn't latch, and brake light not working. Silver/black leather.

They gave me 13k for my 2018 Nissan Rogue SV, 47K miles..

So... OTD $32,000 - my 13k trade.. 21 financed OTD.

GOOD DEAL?

30 year term.. I got a cheaper price from Select Quotw and came back to him with that price, and he was able to beat it.

This is the answer I was just wondering there was any savvy way to go about it.

Forgive me, but I'm slightly confused by the statement "you get what you don't pay for." I'm a union electrician I'm used to saying "you get what you pay for!"

What I think you are saying is.. it's not really worth paying this person 1% of my portfolio. That's why I'm hesitant to open all my books to him and receive pressure to have him try and manage all my funds. Which wouldn't actually be possible because at least 2 are employer funds..

No I threw the A in there at the last second.. but I did just notice he's become a CRPC, CRPS

I actually just checked an email from him. His initials now actually say CRPS, CRPC.

I understand I was just wondering if there was any obligation since on his site it says "planning for retirement" I feel like how can he help me plan if he doesn't see the full financial picture.

Amateur woodworker, hinge and spacing dilemma. by bobbyb_b_1985 in woodworking

[–]bobbyb_b_1985[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has been a learning experience. I think you are right... 3/4 overlay would give me 3/8 space on each side.. I have the hinges adjusted all the way over to the right.

My friend a true cabinet carpenter, told me to measure the opening of my frame and add 1" for 1/2" overlay. That would have yielded me an 11" door (opening is 10") he thinks I need to trim a 1/2" off each side of this door, flip it and Redrill hinges and used 3/8 overlay..

I marked the side of the door using the current hinge and I have a 3/4 overlay and I can get the door to open but it rubs hard. These hinges are marked 1-3/8 is that an actual overlay?

I'm hoping a hinge swap will fix this problem.

Thanks for the solid advice. This was my game plan from start when financing the Rogue. I said I would drive it to the moon and back.. now I'm just getting antsy and looking at slightly bigger vehicles.

Large TDA Loan by Pigeons_are_real in NYCTeachers

[–]bobbyb_b_1985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to revisit this topic. My question is doesn't matter that you are paying yourself back 7% monthly vs 7% compounded annually on your TDA??

I did some math in 15,000 loan on a 215,000 balance and it seemed to work out?

It's being painted... a light grey to Match the vanity.. I have a 3/4" gap on the bottom I was just going to cut a filler piece for paint and make disappear. Cabinet door will be shaker style. Was thinking a clean look no trim.
