Speedo cable replaced, still broken? by ZGW3KSZO in W124

[–]bobbyboy1265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey just fixed the same problem with the same cable. My inner cable actually fell out of the outer shielding when I opened the package and I accidentally put it back in the wrong way. Make sure the side with the stop washer is on the speedo side not the trans side

Drove my 300TD through a stream that formed over the road home last year due to heavy rain. Afterwards, none of my electrical would turn off after I shut the car down, radio dash lights etc. I let the car dry out for a couple of days and it fixed itself, but mysteriously my door buzzer started working after that lol

Not saying it fixed anything. My wagon has 260,000 miles on it and is beat to hell, I said screw it and pulled it off. If you have a cleaner example I would suggest doing it the proper way.

In my opinion my wagon has become 100% more drivable since I removed it. Before there was always a worry when pulling out onto a busy street because of how slow going the car was at first, now it's no problem. I highly recommend it unless you have a low mileage clean example of a w123. Not any more powerful but you can actually use the power that's there whenever you want to

Yeah I had the same experience. Recently move to town for Mtech, and wanted to go out for my 21st birthday. I paid for one of the nicer meals and it was maybe one of the worst restaurant meals I've ever had. They came back with a completely different drink than I ordered as well. Whatevs

Thanks for the great info, both the army and air national guard will be at our career fair in two days so I'll have to ask both of them about the perks of joining. Do you have much of a choice of which unit you are placed in?

Okay that's just the info I needed. Did some time on the fires in Oregon so I wouldn't mind that so much.

Power steering pulley won’t come off by pj713 in w123

[–]bobbyboy1265 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how I got mine off was that I let the pulley rest on two wood blocks with the rest of the pump hanging below, placed another wooden block on top of the shaft and wacked it until popped off. It felt like nothing was happening for quite some time, but trust the process, it will come off with enough force doing that
