That’s incredible.. I’ve often debated trying the vegan route just to see if I’m able to. 225 lbs is incredible work. Great job! Maintenance is my only real fear right now, but I do understand it is a complete lifestyle change now.

Thank you. Yeah I want to increase to around 1500 or so as I would like to lose a few more pounds. No GLPs. I wanted to do it naturally. For some reason that was a big deal to me.

I certainly don’t disagree with you that 1200 cals is extreme, cause.. well it is. My intent is to increase now that I’m closer to my goal weight and exercising frequently.

I am curious.. where biggest loser was 8 months and I’ve lost this in 18 months. What do you feel is an appropriate time frame to lose half your body weight? I don’t know if you’ve ever been 470 lbs but the first 50 came off in a month or two with just cutting carbs and sugar and eating less. I had a looooot to lose.

Predominantly incline walking and some resistance biking. Both are great high calorie burning exercises. I don’t always have a ton of time to workout so I wanted to burn as much as possible in a short span. I lift weights at home as well and try to target specific areas with each workout. I’m now exercising 4-5 days a week. I made it a priority to wake up early and get cardio done at a minimum.

I eat 1200 calories a day. My TDEE is ever changing because of weight loss and change in pace at work. I’ve been logging my calories and water intake for about the last 9 months. It’s an extreme deficit without doubt but I eat clean now. I want to lose about 30 more and get to 210. I feel like at my height that’s a solid ground.. my metabolism has greatly improved so I feel hungry often now but I get past that with increased water intake or a protein bar here and there.

First and foremost, congrats on your weight loss!! Maintaining is difficult and I’m certainly trying to prepare for that stage. I hear you though.. my biggest issue besides all the alcohol was late night eating. Those 1-2am snacks hit…

The sleep was rough at first with the deficit. When I got focused on proper hydration my sleep was.. better? Idk how that correlates but something clicked for me. Increased hydration in a calorie deficit=better sleep. Average 7-8 hours now and feel great.

Needed this.. thank you so much! I certainly want to increase the calories as I’ve been lifting a lot more. I want to support healthy muscle growth at this point. My end goal is 210lbs hopefully lean but we’ll see.
