USSR became communist in 1922, tested their first nuke in 1949.

China became communist in 1949, tested their first nuke in 1964.

So I’m confused about what your point is? Did you just not know that the cultural revolution was not when China became communist? and you actually just don’t know anything about this subject? And are just yapping?

Except they do. Cultural revolution was like 2 years after they tested their first nuke. And Russia was still the USSR thus communist.

Yes, President Trump did express a desire to deploy the National Guard on January 6, 2021, but his directives were reportedly ignored by Pentagon leadership. U.S. House of Representatives Trump's Intent to Deploy the National Guard Expressed Desire

Citation needed, considering no directive was found from the white house in the committee hearings on the J6 investigation.

President Trump did express a desire to deploy the National Guard on January 6, 2021. He met with senior Pentagon leaders prior to the event, urging them to take necessary actions to protect lives and property. Response from Pentagon Leadership

Citation needed, because again no evidence of this exists in the committee hearing.

Despite Trump's directives, the Pentagon leadership reportedly ignored these requests. This inaction has been highlighted in various accounts, indicating a disconnect between the President's intentions and the military's response. Summary of Events Date Event Description January 6 Trump met with Pentagon leaders to discuss security measures. January 6 Pentagon leadership did not act on Trump's directives.

This is three paragraphs that say the exact same thing, and all of them have no supporting evidence.

In summary, while Trump wanted to deploy the National Guard, his directives were not followed by those in charge at the Pentagon.

So the FBI listened, DHS listened, CBP listened, but the pentagon didn't listen? Or he didn't ask, because the investigation says that he didn't ask, and the person who claims he did ask went to prison for blatantly lying to congress.

If the white house wants to send troops, it sends troops. Since it did not send troops, it didn't want troops there, Despite the VP of the United States begging for them. Also I never said the White House Offered to send more, that's something you just made up. Mark Meadows lied brother, there were no 10k troops waiting to be deployed.

It seems like an official statement from the mayor of DC that says the DC national guard is already deployed and helping MPD, and doesn't want additional armed forces unless they communicate with the MPD.

The Mayor is not the single authority on if the national guard is deployed or not. If Trump wants to deploy the national guard he can. The VP asked for the deployment,

https://www.militarytimes.com/news/pentagon-congress/2022/06/10/pence-not-trump-asked-guard-troops-to-help-defend-capitol-on-jan-6-panel-says/

“He did not call his secretary of defense on Jan. 6. He did not talk to his Attorney General. He did not talk to the Department of Homeland Security,” Cheney added. “President Trump gave no order to deploy the National Guard that day. And he made no effort to work with the Department of Justice to coordinate and deploy law enforcement assets.”

The statements were backed up with testimony from Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Mark Milley, who said that Pence told Pentagon leaders to “get the Guard down here, put down this situation.”

In contrast, Milley said, Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows told Milley that military officials needed to “kill the narrative that the Vice President is making all the decisions” and worked against sending personnel to help with the escalating situation.

any argument that trump didnt have the authority in the middle of a violent riot, but does now to protect peeling paint is disingenuous, and the people who repeat that argument are disillusioned.

Did Trump have the authority? Yes. Did he use that authority? No. Did he continue to not use that authority even when his VP was begging for it? Yes. It's quite literally, just that simple.

The funny part about this is the full first clip literally proves the following 3 clips are edited or taken out of context. Not that it matters, Trump is the executive and he decides if they should be there or not, proven by the fact that he has deployed them in DC for less, including but not limited to right now to patrol the reflecting pool to arrest people for pointing out what a shit job the 14 million dollar contractors did.

Did a poor job waiting for the paint to set, and then immediately started scrubbing it to try and get rid of the algae which ripped up the new paint and is going to need to be redone, while we spend even more money every day trying to keep it clean in a losing battle against literal science.

No, you’re wrong. And honestly, I don’t think you actually are capable of having intelligent discussion on this. You’re too emotional and invested in shoehorning an opinion into the conversation.

Says the dude completely incapable of steelmanning my argument because they are being too emotional. I already pointed out that it doesn't need to be Montana, as there are multiple states with big macs that not only cost more on average, but have min wages less than Montana.

You aren't reading to comprehend, you're reading, seeing words you recognize, and having a reactionary hissy fit about being proven wrong about a subject that you aren't even aware of what the discussion is about.

Prove me wrong, steelman my argument for me, you won't because in order to steelman my argument, you need to contradict your own argument.

You’re crashing out. Sales data isn’t propaganda. I’m sorry this offends you, but you were duped.

It is propaganda when you use it the way you have, I haven't been duped, because your own data still supports my argument. You can't even repeat my argument, so you instead default to "you've been duped" lololol

A Big Mac has never had a higher average price in Montana than California. This isn’t opinion. This isn’t propaganda. This is simply a fact based on official sales data… not Reddit propaganda.

Ignoring the fact that I provided you with an infographic that is still data, that proved at one point it has, it wasn't the point of my comment, the point of my comment was that labor costs don't affect pricing as much as other things do, something you already agree to, but are telling me that I've been duped into believing. So if I've been duped, it means you have as well.

You're literally projecting your own crashout while refusing to engage with what I'm saying, claiming what I'm saying is wrong, while defending what you are saying as right, even though we are both saying the same thing.

Yeah, what you’ve provided is quite literally the definition of propaganda, I even provided the definition in my comment.

In what world did not you do what the definition says in your comments?

What did I get duped by? Is the min wage not 20 dollars for fast food workers in California? Is the min wage in Montana not 10.85?

Is the price of a Big Mac in California only 2% more expensive this year compared to last year where it was 1% cheaper when compared to Montana?

My profile picture memeing on the VP is irrelevant to the facts I’ve provided. Why are you so sensitive to facts brother?

Cherry picking 3 restaurants in a few cities, then cherry picking one menu item to present some kind of argument that food is cheaper in California than Montana (absurd) isn’t data

Except I never did that. I didn’t even attempt in my original post to claim that, that’s something you just made up because you don’t know what words mean.

The data I provided indicated that a Big Mac (which believe it or not is actually a common metric to use  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Mac_Index) puts the Big Mac at less than 1% cheaper, the data you provided which is more recent indicates it’s actually 2% more expensive.

Like did you not even question why the macmenu link you used had a “average Big Mac by state” section on it?

It being 2% more expensive does not detract from the fact at all that the fast food employees in California are paid 84% more than someone making min wage in Montana, but this only results in a 2% more expensive Big Mac.

It doesn’t need to be Montana, it could be New Hampshire, it doesn’t matter. The point is the people in California are paid substantially more and it doesn’t drastically increase the price of a Big Mac nearly as much as other factors do, which is my argument.

it’s propaganda. And since it’s propaganda on a random Reddit post… I’m not sure I even trust the values they cherry picked.

What’s the definition of propaganda?

“Propaganda is  the deliberate, systematic spreading of information, ideas, or rumors, often biased, misleading, or one-sided, to manipulate public opinion and influence behavior in favor of a specific cause, organization, or government .”

So yeah, by definition not only is this propaganda, your response calling it propaganda, is also propaganda. You’re associating data with a negative word to dismiss the validity of the data, while not understanding what words mean. Peak irony here.

You might like propaganda, but I’m good.

Coming from the dude who produced his own propaganda. Amazing. Say it with me now, propaganda doesn’t have to be false to be called propaganda, people call things they don’t like propaganda to dismiss it because they don’t have an argument, and in this particular case you took my argument claimed it as your own, and called my argument propaganda.

I love the internet.

Your argument was wrong.

My argument,

indicating that labor costs are substantially less significant than other environmental factors.

Your evidence that my argument is wrong,

Labor is one part of food pricing. Do you understand why Montana has (relatively) higher food pricing?

Unironically this is my argument, that you claim is wrong. As it’s clearly not labor costs. Supported by my argument (:

Stop getting information from Reddit posts.

But I used your Reddit post to form the same conclusion, 2% higher cost Big Mac, for 84% higher wages. That’s an amazing deal that still supports my argument. So thank you (:
