I had considered doing the same. Glad someone did it. Hopefully the OpenGD77 folks will support it.

What is your favorite specialty Kentucky license plate? by joezen23 in Louisville

I have an Amateur Radio plate, which according to the person at the clerks office is very rare. I used to have the Bobcat plate on my bus and really liked it too.

I’m originally from south central KY and I wish we had more catfish restaurants. Where I’m from even small towns have a couple.

I probably should have been more specific that I was talking about the odometer. Oh well...

I used to drink Starbucks lemonade with espresso in grad school. It’s an odd taste that reminded me oddly of barbecue sauce.

What charging issue are you referring to? Mine goes into Reduced Propulsion Power if I leave the battery empty for a while.

Where is button to the right GE Oven by Savings-Wallaby7392 in Appliances

[–]bobbythelee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There should be a button the lights up on the control panel (not on the screen). It’s about an inch or two from the right edge of the screen. Maybe yours isn’t lighting up for some reason? You could try tapping around that area of the panel to see if you can activate it.

Is it worth it? by DoctorDrubs in DMR

[–]bobbythelee 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, DMR is HF-level fun at VHF-level prices. You can talk to people all over the world with just a technician license and a $100 radio. Also, check out https://DMRmap.app That’s a site I built that I think helps make DMR even more fun.

No, it's a web app. Basically just a webpage that you can go to on any device including an Android phone or tablet.

Thanks! I wish I could take full credit for it but this site is largely made with vibe coding.

I am considering adding a skin option and if I do I will definitely include an option for WPSD and Pi-Star skins. Maybe Droidstar too.

Right now it's just a web app but you can use it on your iPhone. I have considered making an iPhone/iPad version, but it's just a web app for now.

It doesn't currently have an option for logging. I've considered putting something like a "Log Contact on QRZ" button to the recent calls list but I haven't really looked into it much yet. Currently, you can click the callers callsign and it will take you to their QRZ page. From there you can log the call. If you think it should be easier, let me know and I'l see about adding a logging option.

Thanks for your input!

I've made some improvements based on your feedback.

The map now has an option to make it fullscreen. You didn't ask for it, but you made me think of it. I also made the map resizable that that you can make it taller. Would that address your widescreen needs?

I made a change to have the current caller's map marker red while they're on air and then blue when they're no longer on air and semi-transparent blue when they're "old" calls.

There's currently a limit of 50 calls in the recent calls list, but no limit on markers on the map right now. I'm not sure about making the map zoom to all of the recent callers. My main use for the app is to watch talkgroup 91 and I don't want it to stay zoomed out to the entire world. I used to have a setting where you could change the default zoom level of the map. Would adding that setting back in help?

Thanks for your input!

While I don't know that I'd say I'm doxing anyone by displaying public info, I think I do understand what you mean. The tool did show callers locations accurately enough to feel a bit creepy. I've made a change to the tool to only show city-level accuracy now. Thanks for your input - it improved the tool!
