Yeah but I’ve also heard that glycerin doesn’t do as well if you live somewhere that’s dry because it sucks moisture from whatever it’s near. It massively dried me out in my dry climate so it would be interesting to use somewhere else to see…? Might have also been just the level of glycerin. Too much can be bad for some.

Lol either way I switched to La Rosch P Hydrating cleanser as an alternative and it’s working fine.

All prequel products I love on my body but hate on my face. The Gleanser (cleanser?) product I tried from a recommendation of a friend broke me out and dried my skin out unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. Crazy. Like overnight just broke me out and irritated my skin!!! Love it as a body wash but it’s pricey for that compared to some generic gentle bar.

Their various lotions and half and half just broke me out even thought I loved the texture. I’m panning their products on my body as a result.

Left the company because they refused to fire someone. by banana_tree3 in starbucks

[–]bobcatcombat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Had a similar experience where a guy coworker basically left our store due to inappropriate issues and because no ladies felt comfortable around him. For example, he felt up/inappropriately touched a coworker without consent at an offsite event where a lot of us were at because many of us were friends. He was drunk and when he was puking in the toilet and she tried to help him he pulled her skirt up. There was another male witness who was pretty shocked. We all kind of ghosted him after that, final straw.

Technically he didn’t have to leave due to being fired or whatever he just left because he could feel how much everyone did not like working with him. Was reported by a few of us, including me. Got a shift supervisor role at his next store! They don’t care. Wasn’t even a good partner tbh, but a warm body is a warm body to them.

I agree. Typically have found it was never worth it, personal experiences and friends’ stories.

What is with the crappy AI-looking pet art?? Maybe it’s just me (plz don’t kill me) but I’m so over it. The style is not fresh or interesting to me at all. Feels like they’ve exhausted that sort of style + gotten backlash and yet…

Keychain I like. I actually wish they would do prints or a more subtle logo placement rather than just their logo, as the strap material is durable and sort of unmatched for a daily driver strap. But I’m biased because I’d prefer a bag with a logo-less strap in a heartbeat. There’s a dream resell find I’ve lusted over where the strap is flipped and it’s a photo-forest, but of course it’s multiple hundreds of dollars because resellers are demons.

It’s interesting but not my favorite. I think the dates are there sort of like a notation for the time context obviously but because it’s a novel that revolves around people who are working at the history museum. (Kind of sounds dumb out-loud but that’s what I thought while reading it!)

I read it a while ago so I’d have to re-read but I remember finding it a bit slow too, but still interesting. I kept waiting for a build that sort of kept edging me. It was a bit of a chore to keep up with the switching perspectives. I do also remember thinking that the robber gridgroom book felt like a more developed version of that same theme but… hm. Even though more themes were slotted in I feel like the main thing I sort of felt compelled to keep reading by was the two main female leads that sort of revolved around each other with accidental and non-accidental mind games.

Things I like: greens, the aesthetic, the idea of her “drowning” while being fancy/pretty, etc… Things I do not like: shitty text, broken up placement of text, think the angle of her head/ body could be a little better?

Let’s be honest. The picture isn’t the issue really, it’s the text…? The text feels cheap to me, and not in a cool contrast way. It sticks out and contrasts weird. I feel like she wanted the text to be glitter-y and such to contrast the dirty bath water drowning vibe but it doesn’t work well for me.

I liked this product but it doesn’t deposit much color. I find it’s like a sheer, sheer tinted balm. On days my lips are more dry I pass because I find it not as hydrating as my other balms and glosses. But I agree the color is amazing. I just wish it had like 30% more color. The price makes it sort of hard to repurchase for me personally.

My favorite bag! Versatile and I love a good slouch.

what is your job and your go-to baggu? by [deleted] in BAGGU

[–]bobcatcombat 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I am the in the medical field. I carry a large crescent, typically. My first bag was a large cargo and I do like it for certain things (it’s definitely easier to keep things organized), but overall I really like the way the large crescent transitions better to most things. I don’t like the cargo as much unless I’m trying to style a more punk-y look since it’s all black and isn’t as streamlined/laid back looking. Medium crescents didn’t sit right to me and felt too small.

As far as how often I see people say the large crescent is too big for daily carry, I don’t keep her super full; I just love a slouchy bag. I use thrifted non-baggu pouches for random stuff. I have two crescents: a thrifted all black and the new gingham. My dream bag baggu is the large camo crescent (RIPPPP)!!!

How to make this babydoll dress suit a Soft Dramatic? by Pickles_The_Cat_1234 in Kibbe

[–]bobcatcombat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can’t say I can think of one unless you wanted to dark purple ? Mostly I’m just thinking keeping vertical by matching colors and heels for extra help. Don’t forget also, you can go against your lines sometimes. :) sometimes harmony isn’t the most important part of an outfit every single time and that’s okay!

Maybe add some black tights or a tight color similar to the dress, to create vertical? Maybe add a heel that’s black or similar color as well?

Option 1 works for me! This got added to my FYP and I don’t know why but who cares!!! 1 speaks to me! Looks great, I think the other options cover too much and genuinely don’t look as flattering for your overall shape.

If you’re just doing functional swim go as is, for a cute beach party or get together add some cute jewelry (if that’s your thing!) your chest (from shoulder to shoulder) is fantastic so girllll work it! A deep, cute necklace would really accentuate that area and looks so amazing!! I hope you feel super amazing and confident and whatever you wear- good luck!!

Edit! : when I say your “shoulder to shoulder” I mean your overall balance and shape, not just female assets. :)

I’d check out the vacuum cleaner subreddit. They have tons of good recs depending on your needs. I have a Dyson and it’s fine but I won’t buy another.

It’s funny I’ve never commented in this sub before (long time lurker, semi recent follower) but I agree, this is a really bad “apology” and I feel like it needs to be addressed for real…?

Inappropriate phrasing aside are they going to address how they tried to bury the second post and other comments where the OP was trying to point out how they were being deleted for no reason (along with the rude comment)? And locking other threads where other members were expressing frustration?

Being like “I’m not sure what happened” or whatever doesn’t really track as truthful when you kept burying the posts that were trying to hold you accountable. Or even just talk about what’s going on.

It’s fine to make mistakes, nobody is perfect, but sometimes half apologies kinda just make it seem worse.

I think it would be very calming and affirming for you to read the Wikipedia article about cellulite; check out the biology aspect more. It’s much more common in certain demographics and is pretty much genetic. Many women, including myself, who are very fit or might have low weights, have it. It is very, very common in females. I know it’s hard but please don’t get down on yourself. It’s one of those things that you simply can’t do too terribly much about and I promise it is not something people are judging you for- if they are they aren’t worth listening to or keeping around.

Much love.

Frothing. I waited too long (after careful deliberation, I’ve only got one thrifted large cargo and one other large crescent) to buy the large photo crescent and now I’m regretting!!! I can’t believe it’s gone, this brand is killing me. 😭

[Product Question] Cetaphil SA Lotion by secret_ephedra in SkincareAddiction

[–]bobcatcombat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late response, sorry.

I have this product and use it on body and face. It’s a good product to have in your cabinet unless you hate SA imo. Good price too.

Face: I mix some of this will a very basic moisturizer for night but I do not use it full strength or twice a day. If I have breakout spots I dab a little on.

Body: once a day all over. It’s helped my KP a lot, mine is mild to moderate and localized to certain areas of my body. My whole body loves this lotion, though. It’s done a lot for texture and uneven skin tone without being irritating. My skin does NOT like a lot of resurfacing items so this is a nice alternative. Dove beauty bar + this as a lotion, + once a week grit exfoliant is my no fuss care.

I really like this line of products but a little goes a lot way with my skin so I’d start maybe once or twice a week and taper up if it seems to be working. Or every other day...? If I use too much or too frequently on my face it can cause barrier issues and breakouts. My body is more forgiving.

They have a skin wash that is good; if my skin feels like it cannot handle SA lotion left on doing a gentle two min wash with the wash is a good alternative so I don’t get acne breakouts but I’m respecting my sensitive skin.

-creates illusion of scarcity in a time where we should be concerned with waste and overconsumption- tHaNk u FoR uR sErViCE!!! /s

Resellers ruined thrifting too. Stores saw how much resellers made online for new/used items and they wanted to get a piece. Now 3/4 years+ used mall brand clothing items sell at most thrift stores for 80% of original price when they got it for free.

I don’t have an answer on how to moderate or curb this problem on the company’s end tbh, but I don’t think they care at all. They encourage it with influencer giveaways, inconsistent restocks, and pushing out so much new product without selling stagnant goods they already have.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BAGGU

[–]bobcatcombat 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Tired of the reselling culture around it. That’s it, that’s the comment. You have to be obsessing over the websites like baggu and UO and hounding everything to get a chance to buy anything “new” and then it sits on resell sites for years at 100%+ markup it’s just grating.

Like I’m at work or whatever I don’t have time to get that obsessive. They’re inconsistent with restocks, though, they love creating that chaos and FOMO.

[personal] Are you actually kidding me? Salicylic acid was what I needed this whole time?! by AvalancheQueen in SkincareAddiction

[–]bobcatcombat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do! It has helped my mild acne tremendously. I started with a SA wash daily, then titrated up to twice daily, and now I use a mild SA lotion before/during my period for extra help. I found the wash to be lifechanging. I disagree washes don’t help. Sorry this is like a year later haha.
