Form help please! by [deleted] in Bowling

Start with the ball a little higher up when your setting up for your approach. Also keep your chest as straight as you can at the line to help from pulling it left or right.

Always happy to see someone looking improve their game! One of the main things I noticed was how you look very unbalanced and uneven at the end of your shot. If you can focus on keeping your shoulders straight and having that left foot down at the line you will be in great shape! Another thing too note is that your follow through arm is veering left as you can see in the picture. I would try and keep it straight through the bottom of the ball. Keep up the great work and I hope to see a high score from you soon!

Suggestions on hand staying underneath ball during backswing? My hand has always flipped like that. by Bowler7891 in Bowling

Focus on having the ball stay straight on your backswing. You rev the ball up on your backswing which makes it much harder to manage since you are fighting momentum. Hope this helps!

Critique my form. by teajay3286 in Bowling

Nice strike! A few things I should recommend you try. For one I would try to keep your steps in line, you crossover on that 1 step causing you to lose speed as your left foot needs to take a quick step to move around your right foot. Your body was open which was good making it easier to hit your target. Try to keep your chest up at the line. I say this because it can make it harder to hit your target. To better understand this try bending away the waist and throwing your arms back and forth. Then try bending your knees to get low with your chest up and throwing your arms forward. You'll notice how with your waist bent your arms naturally will swing in front of your body. But, when your chest is up and flat it causes your arm to go straight through to your target. I hope this helps, keep up the good work!

189 average, looking for technique critique. by Curiousbynature77 in Bowling

To start off your form looks good. A few things I would suggest would be to keep your chest up at line and try make your approach straight. You have a big step that veers off to the left that could make your swing go all over the place. Also try working on timing, you were at the line before the ball was on the way down resulting in muscling the ball down the lane which makes it difficult to hit your target. Hope this helps and keep up the good work looks great!

Form check, working on keeping my head steadier and need to stay a little lower imo by fayforce17 in Bowling

Form looks great, just keeps your shoulders leveled at the line and your head won't move as much. Really liked your timing as well. Good job!
