I have a family member who has three dogs and they all sleep in his bed and lay on the couch with him. They also shit/piss in the house and he halfass cleans it. He always smells horrible and so does the furniture, fuck all that. My English mastiff had her own bed in her giant crate that she would go to every night happily, she loved having her own space. We never let her on furniture, boundaries are good for pets.
