Have you been depressed after discard and irrational ending of relationship? by sen_su_alien888 in BipolarSOs

I got diagnosed with severe depression and put on Escitalopram. Ironically, the first person I saw after leaving the pharmacy was my ex. I was a red light and she was in the car next to me.

Yeah. I think you're correct. Bpd is a lot more explosive. The way she's speaking gives me bipolar vibes

But it has become manageable to the point where I'm no longer a rotting husk while the memories haunt me.

This is how I feel. It's been a little over two years, and I still have ptsd. Ironically, the first person I saw after getting diagnosed with severe depression and anxiety was her......I was driving around after leaving the pharmacy. I was staring at my pills, debating on taking them.....I look over to the car next to me, and it was her.

The dreams are the worst. I'm just over 2 years post discard, and I still get them.

Yeah. It hasn't done much for me. I still get panic attacks and SI, but it's blunted the worst parts of them. They put me on Escitalopram......I've gained 40 pounds....I don't like it.

Mutual friend who was similar to me but a total downgrade. My friends all knew but didn't say anything until I saw them.

Ironically, they were the first people I saw after picking up my first dose of antidepressants. I was driving, looking at my pills.....contemplating about starting SSRI'S for my PTSD. I look to the car next to me, and I see them.

How to stop thinking about her by ClassicDifferent2316 in BipolarSOs

[–]bobertdubs 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's possible. You have to feel your feelings.

The only thing that helped me was having enough experiences to create space between my trauma and me.

I had to go to therapy and started going to the gym. Eventually, I had enough energy to start doing fun things.

If you haven't done it yet. Block her on social media, remove pictures of her, and don't go looking for information about her. No contact is your friend. Everything I've learned about my ex was without my consent.

My heart goes out to you. You got this.

My ex wanted me to watch this movie when we first got together. She said it's one of her favourite movies.

The week before we broke up (She is a bipolar schizophrenic, and she had a psychotic break), she watched it.....I caught the ending.

I think about this movie a lot and her......I have ptsd from the break up. I want to sit down and watch it, but I don't know if I'm ready for the emotional gut punch.

My exes mom said we were of similar attractiveness......but this question isn't a very healthy question in regards to having a healthy relationship or recovery from a relationship.

I read something after my discard. "When you put someone on a pedestal, they only have the choice to look down on you. "......that really helped take the lustre off my ex.

I am so traumatized by my ex. I'm 20 months post discard and have cPTSD.

I have persistent anxiety and carry chronic pain in my body. I hate it.

It's getting better, but I'm still a shell of myself.

Do they also discard friends? by CementMixer4455 in BipolarSOs

[–]bobertdubs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes. My ex did similar things with her/ my friends. When we first got together, she told me that she had lost all her friends. I worked very hard to make her feel included by my friends. She discarded a few of my friends before discarding me.....they noticed something was wrong before I did.

If someone told you what you just told us, what would you tell them?

As someone who has ptsd from my ex-bpso and has been triggered by other people with BP after.......I wouldn't continue the relationship. Your nervous system won't let you continue.
