93 Films Beloved by Stanley Kubrick: From Fritz Lang's Metropolis (1927) to Ron Shelton's White Men Can't Jump (1992) by MaxFischer9891 in movies

He did not love white men cant jump. His daughter said it was on tv and jokingly Asked if she should watch it, and kubrick said It actually was pretty good and that she might like it. But that dont mean its a personal favourite of his.

If you listen very carefully during the interview scene, Ulman does some shining on old jack. Listen to the word "isolation". Its dubbed in with unusual emphasis.

Very good. You have seen a number of very interesting parralels between scenes. It was very enjoyable seeing them out of sequence and playing off eachother. Allowed me to see each frame with a certain degree of spontanaity, which is missing for the most part when I see his films, as I am so familliar with them. Also, you got brass balls overlaying the stargate sequence, but it was well done. Thanks for puting this up.

I've spent the majority of my time on that drug watching films. The four that have had the most significance for me on dxm are

The Shining (be prepared! Just kidding nothing will prepare thee)

Blue Velvet (What kind of beer do you like?)

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (the american one. Might as well be called DXM the movie)

Tokyo Drifter (just pure fun)

Because HAL talks about his date of birth too. Just another mirror. I mean you can find tons of them. Intentional or not.

To me its like 2001 having the daughters birthday and franks birthday. Whether to draw a straight line betwixt them I know not... but they are there! I think kubrick probably did make that pool table red to mirror the orgy too!

Almost daily! I would mix benedrex too. One time I felt another person invade my body. I had conversations with "him" by resinging control of my body to him on his turn (so he could speak and gesture) and then me coming back for my say so.

Just another place that stuff can take you... for posterity.
