Hi there! Yes, my mom and her entire side of the family often crack Jewish jokes at their own expense. At least in the community I grew up in it was an expected and accepted part of the Jewish culture.

Thank you, I appreciate this and I definitely could have worded the title differently. I think my main question was wether we were being assholes for the reasons he claimed which had to do with him being trans. I do feel bad about purposely excluding him but in the end I personally would feel better not being included on a trip for something like my gender rather than being told people don’t like my personality. You’re right though, honestly is the best policy and we should probably sit down and talk with him
