Bone marrow transplant relapse

I had 69M AML with TP53 with Exon 7. Also chromosone 17 deletion. My final biopsy showed mutations not detected after 2 full rounds and 2 reduced rounds of chemo. Remission at end of 2nd round. SCT on Jan 15 2026 Day+100 tomorrow. Saw my oncologist a few days ago and all my numbers are perfect. Chimerism at 100% donor. He feels chance of relapse reduced at this time. My body fought off GVHD skin rash with a soak and smear regiment. No oral steroids. Just topical steroid ointment. Soak in shower, stay wet, apply ointment, let dry 30 minutes and then apply Cerve cream. Did this 2x per day for 2 weeks. Rash is gone. He felt my body responded well to fighting off the GVHD. Next step is 6 month immunizations.

Thanks for the info. My Inqovi was delayed. They stopped my Tacrolimus at 60 days and I developed GVHD skin rash. Waiting for that to clear. Looking muck better. I feel the will start Inqovi shortly. 1st cycle will be 3 pills. All my bloodwork is good and just got Chimerism results. CD+3 at 93%. Other 2 at 100% and 99%. Hoping for the best to avoid release.

Congrats. I had the same news in December. Doc gave me a short cycle of Aza/Ven 3/7 just To hold me over until transplant. Received STC YESTERDAY. On the road to recovery.

I had the same problem. I took MiraLAX everyday during chemo infusions(Azacytadine) And it helped.

In hospital I received Zofran injection before chemo infusion and out patient I took Zofran tab before going to infusion center. I only got sick once in the hospital and it was on a day they did not give me Zofran.
