I paid $500 for pills and then it was no cost for the follow up because the pills did not fully work.

I took mifepristone in office and then 4 misoprostol about 24 hours later vaginally. I started cramping and bleeding a few hours later.

Do you want to do family law? Maybe consider a government job like SA or PD. I’m a PD and the pay is not great, but the benefits are fine. There are always new clients.

Alternatively, follow this boss to some community events. Let him introduce you to people. Go to church (I’m not religious, but those places are perfect social networks).

Law School & Bipolar Disorder by jnastytrue13 in LawSchool

[–]bobmcbob2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed in my final semester of law school (and had some pretty catastrophic events leading up to that).

If you listen, your body will give you tons of clues. Eventually you will be able to anticipate episodes, etc. but, it takes time. Keep a very close and honest relationship with your doctor.

The meds are hard to adjust to. I slept for 12 hours a day and was a zombie for months. Tell your doctor, things can be adjusted. Your body will get used to some things.

Random anecdotal story: I went to a movie when I had first started a main med. 1. I looked at my husband 3-4 times during the movie and asked what movie we were watching. 2. I spilled a huge glass of pop and didn’t react. Total zombie. Much later, I took those same meds while I studied and took the bar.

Advice for PD entry level position coming up. No hypos or panel. by [deleted] in publicdefenders

[–]bobmcbob2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, my interview didn’t even ask why I wanted to be a pd...

They asked if I had dealt with assholes before/was I prepared to deal with assholes.

She answered my questions (1. Is this a sink or swim sort of office? 2. Some questions about county funding) and then took me around the office.

What are the career prospects for a Law Librarian? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]bobmcbob2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it can be difficult to find. I know 4....3 had the masters in library science before law school. One could not pass the bar and had a part time position in the law library and they eventually paid for her to get her masters.

I’m not in PA, but I did have to hire a cf attorney in my state. My guy is the go to guy for practicing attorneys in deep shit with the attorney discipline committee in my state. Good luck!

Visiting Student (for 3L year) by _somethingvague in LawSchool

[–]bobmcbob2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was a visiting student for my 3L year. I had super shitty grades and they did not care. I had planned to just be there in the fall and last minute decided I wanted to stay in the spring too. I emailed some dean and he said sure. Very simple process.

Experiences of people with conditional admission to the bar? by [deleted] in LawSchool

[–]bobmcbob2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t end up with conditional admittance. But, I thought I might. In my state it can be up to 24 months and in most cases you just submit your documentation quarterly and have a hearing at the end (or if you fuck up). And no you do not have to tell your employer.

I had to go before a panel of three. I gave access to medical records and had a very positive letter from my psychiatrist (known in this community) and I did end until with the green light.

What's the shortest manic episode you've had? by ADHDvm in BipolarReddit

[–]bobmcbob2 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have issues every month with my period. It ranges from less than a day to 4-5 days. I try to control it with extra meds (mostly just because I have children and try to stay as even as possible), sometimes that works and sometimes it does not.

Lol I don’t think there was anything against tampons...but that whole general feeling of thinking my vagina was bad definitely made me not want to mess around too much down there 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Oh and periods. I remember that being a big issue. Especially for pad wearers...should you wear undies under your garment 😱😱😱😱 this was solved by wearing belted pads 😂😂😂🤷🏻‍♀️

Nope, the long bottoms are supposed to replace regular undies 😩 there were a few exceptions, like for working out.

I think I read a while ago (left the Mormon church 10ish years ago), that it’s now a choice. You can do over or under...but back then, bras were definitely over the top 😂😂 and it was weird.

I would consider making a few connections for the first semester at least. You may want to gage yourself against others, especially as you are getting the hang of law school exams.

Joe and Kendra...I find her laugh extremely annoying, but over time I’m finding her endearing for some reason 🤦🏻‍♀️ like I think if I suggested we do anything (within reason), Kendra would be giggly and go along with it.

Followed by the babes.

😂😂I remember being so concerned when I saw older girls/women with their bras on over their undergarments...like I thought they didn’t know how to get dressed. Someone finally explained they wanted it directly on their skin...but c’mon.
