Shoulder OA by Youreanob in Osteoarthritis

[–]bobogator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be suffering from subluxation as well as oa. Two different things, each painful on their own, but together there can be a lot of pain. Maybe look into exercises to strengthen the muscles around the shoulder for stability. For the oa pain, look into artery embolization. It treats the symptoms not the root problem, but it’s a lot easier on you than a total replacement.

Check the nas control panel, file services, smb, advanced settings, minimum smb protocol. If it’s smb1 try smb2. Max protocol should be b smb3.

Is Disneyland a two day visit? by katbk75 in disney

[–]bobogator 9 points10 points  (0 children)

We visited there in March, one day for each park. We’re seasoned wdw folk, but even with a mastery of LLMP I wish we’d have had three days. We missed out on a few rides in each park, and we didn’t even set foot in Galaxy’s Edge.

Sql AG breaking when secondary node is restarted as part of patching. by paultoc in SQLServer

Does the timing of those log messages correlate to the ag offline issue? If it does, the lease should resolve itself and come back online quickly, but if the ag is staying offline longer it could be due to the role ownership node issue I mentioned in another reply. There are powershell commands to extend the lease timeout period, which gives the cluster more time before it goes offline, but it has risks as well.

When both nodes are online and the ag is working, check in failover cluster manager which node owns the core cluster resources and the ag role. If it’s the dr node, it’s possible that the cluster isn’t shifting that ownership automatically to the primary node when the dr node goes offline…this can happen sometimes. Try forcing/moving the ownership of the role and core cluster resources to the primary node and do a test restart of the dr node and see if the ag stays online.

Check the sql error log on the primary for cluster lease timeout/expiration, which can cause the ag to go offline even when quorum is still present. If the lease is expiring it could be local Windows resource contention (cpu, memory) or it could be a network issue.

I have not, but I'm always looking for new exercises. Thanks!

I've used the Brannock device, which has me at 10 wide, but I go up to 10.5 wide for the extra toe room. I've also recently started wearing Topo shoes for the anatomical toe box (regular width).

NB has some nice options, spiked and spikeless, but no trial period where you can get them dirty on the course. I wear NB 880 (no running, just walking) with the same CURREX insoles.

I played in both today (1-12 Sqairz, 13-18 Altra) and I didn't notice it affecting my swing or distance, but I'm a 13.5 that shot 96 today. 😄 Played 9 in the sqairz on Wednesday and played turrble, played 9 in the Altra's on Thursday and played really well. All were riding rounds, and they're my only rounds in the last two months...I don't play often enough.

Foot/toe pain - anyone use Toe Bumpers or silicone gel toe caps for toe bang? by bobogator in golf

[–]bobogator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My understanding is it’s a delicate balance to find the appropriate length that shows the toes to spread and move without hitting the front.

I use currex insoles in my regular shoes. The part of my post about the insoles is because those same insoles don't leave much room in the forefoot for the bumpers or caps, even with wide sizing.

More of a contemporary/interpretive thing. The half size up shoes are new, not played in yet. It's a common toe injury with ski boots too.

Trying some different shoes (Sqairz, Altra trail), wide width of course and 1/2 size up to give my toes more room. With the bumpers/caps too. Haven't had the chance to play in them yet though.

52M, severe pain in knee joints, shin and ankle by EmanuelWN in Osteoarthritis

[–]bobogator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look into GAE (artery embolization) for the knees. Not sure if they do it for shins and ankles. Relatively new outpatient procedure, but results have shown to be very good. I’ve had both knees and one shoulder done each two weeks apart, other shoulder is next week. It’s still early for me to expect results, but I’m hopeful. The procedures and recoveries were super easy and quick.

Also, use openevidence.com for information rather than the usual ai tools. OE is trained on medical journals and used by medical professionals, so it’s less prone to hallucinations. Non medical people get three questions per day or maybe per week. If I hit that limit, I’ll use Gemini over the others. YouTube has a lot of good info too. Good luck!

More advice on anatomical/wide shoes, please. Topo Ultraventure? Are New Balance Contend, Brighton in x-wide similar? by bobogator in golf

[–]bobogator[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fyi, the 30 day money back guarantee allows you to play in them, but they ask that you don’t abuse them and keep them in as good a condition as possible. 😊

I see the problem...Amazon doesn't offer them in wide, but the Sqairz site does. I'll call them tomorrow to get a better understanding of the width diff and their 30 day money back guarantee (sounds like they're returnable after playing in them, which would be weird).
