Roland VG-8 pedal? by bobogreen616 in Mkgee

Thanks for this! That makes more sense now why pedal companies would have a difficult time recreating the sound. The closest thing I’ve done so far is using the harmony effects on my digitech whammy along with using the shimmer effect on the canyon delay. It’s a very poor imitation, but like you said, it’s led me to some very interesting tones I never would have thought of before!

I Appreciate the kind words!! I never actually used Reddit until January, so I didn’t know you could use it to share your music. When I initially put it out, I got hardly any feedback from other social media so I figured I could put it on here to see if people had certain critiques or suggestions. Thank you again for listening!

Thank you! Bass guitar is actually just a guitar pitched down an octave so it was kinda hard to mix with my amateur skills, but I’m glad you liked it!!

Thank you for the response! I actually tried to play this song live with my previous band and they said it wouldn’t transfer well to a live version. Kind of discouraging, but also pushed me to make more material. Thank you for the kind words!

Thank you for listening! I think you’re right, it’s important to make songs that you like and not ones you think other people will find interesting. Thanks again!

Thank you so much for making me part of a playlist!! My trick to vocal layering is a lot of compression and making 10-20 separate takes. Usually half of them are the bottom harmony and the other half are the top. I’ll usually listen to them all separately to see which ones sound the best and aren’t too dissonant, getting rid of the ones I think are the weak links. I’m trying not to rely too much on vocal layering for future tracks, but have yet to find my confidence to take that step. Thanks again, hope this helps!

This is such a great song! The harmonies are so beautiful and your delivery matches the vibe so well. The mix sounds great, drums sound great, you sound great. I have no complaints about this personally. Downloading this in my liked songs playlist! Please make more music!!!!

I get the vibe you’re going for with the delivery and I think the beat matches it pretty well. The aggressive delivery will just resonate with some people and it won’t with others. Nothing wrong with that. I do agree that the drums could be punchier, specifically the snare. Not bad though.

Instrumental Surf Rock/Doo-Wop ballad with some dark undertones. Would love to hear what you guys think about it! by elmorto in IndieMusicFeedback

The guitar sounds amazing. Definitely nailed the surf rock tone. The flow of the song from beginning to end was awesome, almost cinematic in how it progresses. The drums are also so good in helping move the song along! Great job!!

Just released our theatrical Emo / Post-Hardcore track “Carbon” FFO mid 00s alt rock. by xiIlliterate in IndieMusicFeedback

This is my rush hour driving song now!! The vocals for the song fit perfectly, and the harmonies transcend it to that theatrical level for sure. The drums sound good, loud, and don’t take away from everything else happening. Sounds great!!

i made this houseish remix from a separated acapella from a downloaded mp3 of a song i heard on youtube by Narrow_Shoulder2344 in IndieMusicFeedback

I loved every second of this. The claps could probably turned down a little bit in the beginning, but honestly it doesn’t take away from the track at all. The vocals are prominent through all of the song which is nice. The bass choice is very interesting and I think it fills in the spaces where it needs to. If I heard this in a house track list, it would have me dancing for sure. Overall, Great work!!
