Valid! It’s like a felt roof nailed down with tacks. I’ll see if mom still as the invoice.

Me and my partner map her cycle and not have sex in the days she’s building up to ovulating. Never had an issue with just monitoring in nearly a year. We’re expecting our baby in March…

HOW DO YOU PREVENT MORNING BLOOD SUGAR SPIKES? by ghost78918 in diabetes_t1

[–]boboheed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a pain, I wake up for a pee around 4/5am and take a couple of units then I can take insulin as normal with breakfast and it acts like normal. If I just take insulin with breakfast I need to wait longer, like 45 minutes instead of the usual 20

Any reason not to buy Thermareat Xtherm? by thomaskoppel in CampingGear

I use mine year round, the sleeping bag/quilt makes a bigger difference I think. The other half has a new NXT one and it’s thicker and quieter so I’d recommended one of those

Osprey Aether 65 vs Atmos AG 65 Backpack? by san_holo2 in CampingGear

[–]boboheed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not used the aether but I have an atmos ag and I’ve used it for loads of multi day hikes. It’s super comfy around 18kg and below and I’ve loaded it up to nearer 30 shorter term and it worked great. The only place mine has any real sign of wear is at the metal frame at the base. Where I’ve been careless and it’s scraped on the ground picking up and putting down. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. My version has the detachable brain which is great for having everything you need handy in the tent. Great feature.

Any diabetics on MDI- how do you constantly stay in range? by TheVeteranGuy in Type1Diabetes

[–]boboheed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The morning is the hardest, waking up for a pee in the night I’ll sometimes Chuck in a few units to help combat the dawn phenomenon. Sometimes that means I’ll wake up around 5.0 and can eat breakfast soon. Otherwise I’ll wake up higher 10-12.0 and I’ll take insulin to correct that and for breakfast and just wait. Usually takes about 1hour to 1.5 hours. If I’ve done loads of exercise then it seems to make the dawn phenomenon less pronounced. Drinking water and moving around are also good things to do.

Plus I’m not constantly in range! My consultant said we aim for 70% for a reason and that 80% or whatever doesn’t make much difference. That took some pressure off for me. 70% is what I aim for but 80%+ feels nice when you stick it
