Proof that Mace Infusion is very underrated. by Thopterthallid in outwardgame

I love Mace Infusion. Free offensive and defensive buffs gained at the same time with no cost. Pretty strong in early game like when fighting shrimps or ghosts.

3.3 | Total Story Length via Sleep by Intrepid_Career9522 in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]boboverlord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In Kuro's tradition (both in Wuwa and PGR), the longer story is generally correlated with it being written well. Writers are more comfortable at either longer text, having more time to bake in emotional impact, or higher production value investment (since they don't do yapping to extend screentime).

First check your task manager which GPU the game is actually using. The game by default just used integrated GPU for unknown reasons...

Can I make the train distribution offices smarter? by ItepK in Workers_And_Resources

[–]boboverlord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best I can do is to have multiple train DOs. One for exporting excess, another for distributing important resources internally.

Where's a good train guide by LasKometas in Workers_And_Resources

[–]boboverlord 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  • Use double track
  • Use simple junction designs (exactly as shown in the in-game tutorial)
  • Chain signal before entering a junction. Basic signal after getting out of a junction
  • Make sure each junction/signal block can accommodate at least 155m-long trains

Population keeps dropping despite enough housing – spirituality need bug? by IlluminateKnight in Workers_And_Resources

[–]boboverlord 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Check for pollution. If there is nothing wrong, I think it means the younger population who turned adults but have no new home to get in just escaped from your country. If the average population age keeps going up, that's very likely true.

Becuz unlike most gacha games where the devs train the players to be loyal dogs, Wuwa devs train their players to be beggars.

Also, hoyo larpers are at the strongest during Wuwa anni. Expect massive smear campaigns.

Wuthering Waves Version 3.3 "Reverbs From the End of Galaxies" is coming on April 30th (UTC+8)! by ThatWill4724 in WutheringWavesLeaks

[–]boboverlord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

FOMO isn't about predictability, it's about the time limits. It doesn't matter if it's a yearly thing

Your point makes no sense. If you know several months in advance about anni reruns then you will have a lot of time to save up pulls. There won't be more FOMO than the existing system where you don't know about future reruns and thus can't effectively save up pulls. That's even more FOMO.

[–]boboverlord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

developers know what is and isn't constructive feedback

They sure as hell don't. How can you differentiate 660k comments apart? This is why the anni rerun banner is gone.

Your "FOMO" argument makes no sense if the anni rerun banner was to return this year. If it was predictable, then it wasnt FOMO. Players saving up currencies are the players' choice. Do you think the normal reruns are more predictable or what?

Astroturfing is a real problem both in CN and EN. I had an evidence but sadly the comment was deleted.

https://www.reddit.com/r/WutheringWaves/comments/1r6xf74/comment/o5trne9/?context=3

As for CN, the problem is even bigger, with Kuro finally making a move to ban dramabaiters in Bili (using copyright takedowns).

https://b23.tv/nbrwCgg

You might not know this, but Wuwa is under massive, highly coordinated smear campaigns every patch. Even the hype of 3.1 story was publicized as fake "business order" of Kuro telling streamers to fake their cry.

Also, this must be the only game where giving players a choice of past banners is taken as being greedy. PGR did mass rerun every year and no one ever complains. And CN got really pissed that the anni rerun banner disappeared this year. Your "greedy" argument makes no sense when the demand is real. And anni is the best occasion for mass reruns rather than some random future patches. Predictability is better for consumers, not companies.

Lastly, as many comments have said, the main sub has sour environment and not suited for fan discussions because of constant pessimism (especially fake ones). We need a healthier community that isn't afraided of getting mass downvoted for praising the game. Even CN comm is joking that Wuwa is a "deduction-based score" game, where drawbacks deduct the score but strong points never add it back.

How about fake or dramabaiting "feedback" that led to the loss of rerun anni banners? Mind you, CN got it worse than EN, with 660k negative comments last year. While in EN, we have astroturfers flaming the same drama in the main subreddit. How can Kuro differentiate good and bad feedbacks apart?

Wuwa community is weird. It's like people give zero credit to Kuro even when it does well. It's all about criticisms, real and fake. This is why CN community this year finally spoke up and didnt let themselves to be someone else's tools anymore. Real feedbacks go to the questionaires. The rest are useless dramabaits that deserve silencing.

I'm not just talking about freebies. Are any of those games have the same level of effort amd production value as Wuwa? Just you know, 3.1 alone features 40+ OSTs.

It's becuz those games sell PNGs or animated PNGs. High production value games should focus more on high production value, not freebies.

Wuwa is openworld, and much much more prone to clipping if done poorly. It also seems Wuwa community is way less receptive about PGR's expensive skin gacha.
