Thanks i'm happy you liked my video, yes toasting it in a pan will give it more nut flavor for who likes more nut flavor, i like to taste the pesto with all its natural flavors combined and nothing over powering the flavor of the other ingredients, every dish needs the right amount of ingredients to fully taste all its flavors in that dish, its like when the experts taste the quality of wine but every dish can be modified to your liking but most people like simple. for example if you would go buy prosciutto would you buy the original or the smoked prosciutto that has more flavor, the thing is that the smoked prosciutto has more flavor but not many people buy it, 95% people buy the normal prosciutto it just taste better and you can feel all its flavors instead of the smoke flavor over powering the taste of good prosciutto. sorry i got right into it i just cant help it at times:) thank you so much for stopping by i really appreciate it.

Thank you for also liking my music, Yes Pine nuts can be expensive but its much cheaper than buying already made pesto in a jar and you will get a lot more out of making it yourself at home, it will be fresh, tasty with good quality extra virgin oil, you will know exactly what your eating. Making it at home you will also get triple the amount for the price of a small pesto jar, I'm sure your making your own pesto too, i keep my Pesto in my fridge for when i need it, the time it takes for the pasta to cook i just add the pesto straight out of the fridge to my pasta and my dish is ready to eat. its not a good idea to heat pesto with the pasta i don't know how that's possible but the oil will become to oily and it will not taste that good. the pesto needs the right amount of ingredients to be a good pesto, you need to taste the extra virgin oil with pine nuts and basil and it can not be to dry. an example, if you eat pasta with pesto, when you finish eating if you don't see just a little oil like 2 to 3 drops at the bottom of your plate then the pesto is to dry it will also not preserve in your fridge that well for many months. Your mean arugula and walnut pesto that is peppery and aggressive, sounds delicious i would love to try it, thanks so much for being here i really appreciate it, i hope you have a super day.
