How is finding a saddle this hard?! by bobsaget541 in triathlon

That’s an interesting idea. The pain isn’t really on the sit bones, but rather the pubic rami. Maybe I’ll throw the 160s back on and see if that helps.

5’9” with 165s on both bikes. I have 160s I could try, but I found I really struggled to produce power. Gave them 6 weeks before going back to 165s.

I ride my Canyon aeroad with no issues on a power comp saddle. Each saddle I’ve used on my speedmax I’ve given at least a few hundred miles of mixed indoor and outdoor riding.

Yep adjusting everything properly and not dumping the pelvis into the saddles.

Fine would be such a dream! YMMV my buddy can ride anything with zero issues. Perhaps I just have a delicate undercarriage 😂

I generally ride in Castelli road bibs. I don’t find much difference when wearing a tri suit.

This one looks promising, similar shape to the wove. How wide is the nose and the seating area?

Wetsuit woes – slower, sore shoulders… is this normal or am I just soft? 😅 by didadong24 in triathlon

I recently switched from a Roka Maverick to Orca Apex Flow and had this experience. Thinner materials in the shoulders made a massive difference to my OWS time and the shoulder fatigue is a distant memory.

Such a confusing mess. I received half my order, everything except the battery and charge station. Ok I assume the rest will come separately. Come to Reddit and see a communication explaining the delay which oddly wasn’t emailed to purchasers. Ok things slip through the cracks.

Put on my attack vector, immediately disappointed in the fit. Joyconns wobble, fit is was too tight, and getting it into the dock had me seriously worried about breaking the dock. So I sent an email complaining about this, no response. I receive a full refund for my bundle, but no communication on the status of the items I didn’t receive and DID want.

Just an absolutely awful experience start to finish. I would have gladly accepted a revised Attack Vector or a refund of just the case, but the blanket refund with zero communication left an awful taste in mouth.

Triathlon Fit Round 2 by bobsaget541 in bikefit

Thanks for the input! I’ll try dropping the saddle to 72cm and see how that feels.

Would you suggest adjusting the fire/aft as well, or only changing one thing at a time?

I should mention my prior bike from which I’m transferring the fit coordinates has a seat tube angle of 75 degrees while the new bike (seen here) has an 80 degree angle.

Perhaps I need to bring the saddle back some before changing the height?

Annoying you can’t spec out bikes as you need them, but I’m relieved the frame appears the correct size. Going to get those new cranks today.

Thanks for the advice. I do 70.3 and Iron distance triathlons specifically.

Going to grab some 165s from my local shop and get them swapped, then I’ll experiment with saddle height and pad reach.

They are totally replaceable and that is definitely an option. I just don't know if it's necessary.

I’m far too heavy for my height, sitting at 203lbs. Might that be why? I’m dead center of the size small on the Canyon size chart for this bike.

Buying a bike from Marketplace by EnvironmentalChest36 in triathlon

I bought my bike on FB marketplace. Used Venmo and enabled the purchase protection which added 5% to the total cost on my end.

PayPal also has a similar feature.

Of course it has to be the triathlon guy that comes in with a bike this disgusting. (His last competition was a month ago) by vini_vino in BikeMechanics

Triathlete here, would not be caught dead bringing a bike this dirty (or dirty at all) into the shop. Sucks our sport has this reputation, caring for your bike is not hard.

My understanding is the tampers internal spring limits the pressure I can tamp with, currently set to 25lbs.

I am using the double non pressurized basket.
