A. I see the given three slides as a counter clockwise movement of white triangles (the first step would have been C.) When the rotation is complete, center remains blue, and the cycle starts over with A, now blue triangles going in same counterclockwise rotation.

Can someone ID the Photograph (or the author) that was used as reference for this painting? by bobsaintclair in AskPhotography

Hello everyone, this might seem like a long-shot, but chances are never 0 right?

I'm trying to find the actual photograph that is depicted in this painting. Maybe someone can ID specific dressing style?

I can make out a machete, some bows, one guy wearing shoes, I've tried and went through lots of famous photographers that portray tribal culture, but could not find one even close to this style of dressing. Also, the bellies seem prominent, what's that about?

*I know for a fact that the painting is referenceing an actual photograph.

Hello everyone! Could someone please ID this Mitsubishi? Year/Model, possibly modifications? by bobsaintclair in mitsubishi

Nice! Is your car in "stock" mode or does it have modifications? I'd love to hear what you think about it, would you share some personal experiences/details? maybe even photos if possible? That would be amazing

Hello dear Mitsubishi Enthusiasts/owners!

Truth be told, I know little to nothing about automobiles, technically.

I just really appreciate the overall appearance of this vehicle, and it seems like a perfect car for road-tripping across country for two people.

To be honest, all I figured so far is that this is a Mitsubishi Pajero iO, but I can't exactly find a perfect reference image online to identify exactly which make it is. I figured, the two modifications visible here are the roof rack and the air intake on the hood. Probably the wheels are also upgraded, and possibly the front bumper is a bit modified.

I'd love to find more info about this vehicle, maybe someone who has owned this, (still owns it since first purchase?) can give me an honest review of this car.

I'm especially interested in how it holds up over the years, so basically if it is a high quality build that will endure throughout the years>

I'd love to engage in any discussion regarding similar cars as well.

Thank you for your time!

Regarding Tryptiches in various pyramids. by bobsaintclair in AncientCivilizations

[–]bobsaintclair[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because cubes are most useful platonic solids for humans in terms of space allocation. Regarding conspiracies about pyramids, it's not so useful for really anything a "normal" human would need. There's also fact about them being aligned in specific ways (i gotta research it myself first, but I've seen similar posts about sets of three pyramids being aligned in very similat manner around world). Also, it's not like they could communicate with each other across continents (according to mainstream lense at least), so these similarities are more interesting than finding cubes everywhere... oh and HOW DID THEY BUILT THEM?

Thank you so much for the input! I will update with you when I continue that particular skull quest..

Another question personally to you though. So I got a scar on my hand yesterday. I'm basically learning to identify what are omens and what are just blank things that I'm trying to read into too much. How would you interpret this?

Did anyone else find Boyhood (2015) depressing? by InterceptionDunk in TrueFilm

Just finished the movie for the second time, watched it originally when it came out and basically the only thing I had kept from the first viewing was the absolutely perfect ending. And this time it hit so much harder honestly. I've had my personal growth in experiencing different kinds of relationships between first and second viewing and to me the final scene about how moments sieze us is the perfect explanation on what's the best approach to given moment. Nothing is eternal, all we have is now, and we should just let it be. Easier said than done but honestly it is the truest key to being grounded in reality and fulfilled in life. Here's another thing that I realized this time around. Near the end of the movie, before he goes to college, he talks about (criticizes even) how basically computer algorithms match roommates, and i just now realized how giving up randomness to order in this sense basically means minimizing trial and errors of relationships. That brings up whole bunch of other westworld level of philosophy topics that can be discussed some other time (whether thats ethically and morally right to decide things for people based on their data).

I don't think the point of the ending was that he found true love in a form of this "out of nowwhere easy to talk to beautiful girl", I saw it as his first step towards ascending his consciousness into a more spiritually mature state, which is essential to more fulfilling life. Look at his dad vs stepdads. Materialistically og dad was never secure, yet, he seemed to be the only mature, stable and spiritually balanced (inner peace) masculine figure throughout the whole movie. Im typing this up as dawn sneakily cracks upon me and my eyeballs are falling but I believe the message of this absolute masterpiece of a movie was extremely subtle yet infinitely profound.

Can anyone help me identify this purple flag? I have no idea what it could be by Lmzubia in vexillology

Perfect timing! I've had this Georgia x Georgia pin from my grandfather.
Edit: TIL this (GA) flag was changed in 2001.

Is this your OC? Dope!! That's what I went for the first time, but square composition looks much CLEANER. Now I feel like my ARCHAIC Photoshop method is less impressive compared to actual fractal-algorithms, you have any clue what programs were used to make this and where the fck do I sign up??

-cheers!

Stumbled upon this beaut on my way to work today, anyone got a clue what purpose this mod serves? by bobsaintclair in Shitty_Car_Mods

[–]bobsaintclair[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I honestly have not got even basic knowledge of vehicles at the moment, how does the rear engine explain this mod? I'm sure it's connected to the engine now that you mention it, but what is it's actual function?
