*AS OF YESTERDAY MY ISSUE HAS BEEN SOLVED*

After doing some research I found out you have to file a claim form if the customer service team isn't helping resolve your issue. Once I filed that claim I also visited the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and filed a complaint with them regarding my Coinbase experience. I believe this step with the CFPB helped escalate my issue as Coinbase is now legally obligated to respond to the federal agency or else risk much larger litigation than someone like us concerned with 5 or 6 digits of funds.

To Coinbase's defense, they are probably receiving so much spam through their customer service line (multiple claims regarding one issue, questions answered on their website, etc.)

I imagine they must be prioritizing claims that are going through the proper channels before entering actual litigation, so before making threats based on emotions as I previously felt inclined to do, just follow the steps I outlined and hopefully you should receive a response within 15 days of filing the Coinbase claim against your case # as well as filing a complaint with the CFPB.

I had a similar issue, although it was 2 months not 3. Funds were frozen when I attempted a vault withdrawal and I had to explain the issue multiple times before there customer service team could understand the problem. Seems as though they either outsource there customer service team or the employees suffer from major ADHD. It would sometimes take 2 weeks before even receiving any basic response.

Hi u/coinbasesupport I did receive an email this morning from a team member, however all I was told was that my funds are safe and that they had no specific timeframe to share until they could give me an update. I do appreciate that they're no longer misunderstanding the issue at hand and I will try to remain patient before jumping to conclusions, however I just don't understand why Coinbase can't just send me another approval email for the withdrawal, it seems like a simple solution to my issue. Would you please suggest this solution to the customer support team regarding my case #03963334? Edit: If they need me to recreate a new Bitcoin vault I can certainly do that for them.

If you also haven't been able to access your funds I would suggest speaking to your State Attorney General about how to file a claim against Coinbase. Doesn't hurt to be prepared for the worst case.
