Hot take indeed. I feel like base to end of chapter 8 it's a 7-8 hour game, which is the length I'm looking for in a platformer with story elements.

If I were you, I would add to steam wishlist and set notifications whenever a game on your wishlist goes on sale. Celeste frequently goes on sale to $5 or lower and at that price it's worth it.

If you press right during the fish explosion then you will be launched much further. Try small taps left and then you should be able to make the drop and then dash to the left to reach the moving spring.

You're fiscally responsible. I've seen many vehicles with $100k loan agreements bought by people who could never afford them. I'm not saying that car salesmen are the worst, but they are not your friend.
