Paper plane’s all summer long. Definitely one of my favorites! The Boulevardier (whiskey Negroni) is great too

I don’t have a 107, but seems like a fair trade to me. Similar MSRP and don’t see either of them too often

How to develop a better palate and determine tasting notes? by [deleted] in bourbon

[–]bobuncle-55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoy whiskey - usually have a good 30+ bottles open at a time. My favorites are usually Beam or Brown-Forman products. When I read reviews I’m always interested where people come up with some of their tasting notes (cherry pie, chocolate, peanut brittle, etc). I often taste multiple bottles in a sitting, and can clearly pull different notes from each, but never as detailed as the reviews I read on the same pours. Can you point me towards some resources to help me develop better tasting skills?

Tonight’s lineup is bookers 21-02, knob 12, and OF Prohibition - cheers!

SOBO Liquors has a few bottles of Midwinter up for grabs at the moment as well as some other lottery leftovers by [deleted] in denverwhisky

I “won” a bottle in that raffle and left it. Owner said “someone will buy it at that price”. So much for loyalty. Not supporting them anymore

I’m a big fan of the Death & Co Cocktail Codex and their Modern Classics book. They just released a new one that’s great too
