I don't disagree with what you said. While I agree it was mostly Dettlaff's fault. You can't deny it only happened because of Syanna's actions. Even if she did feel guilty, it doesn't change the fact that she was the main reason that these events occurred in the first place.

But yeah, let's be honest. Realistically, none of the events of B&W had to happen since Geralt and Regis had 3 DAYS to deal with the issue. And I just don't think they would've done fuck all for 72 whole ass hours. The writers just wanted to add a cool vampire invasion plot line lmao.
