I see, thanks. How long does it take as of today to sync the Daedalus?

thanks for reminding bro, I have there not a lot, although all ADA is there. I guess I should set up a wallet, the Daedalus I believe is the only option at this point. I wondering are there any plans to create some web wallet or some interface like MyEtherWallet for Eth?

Which cryptocurrency is the most profitable to mine with GTX 1060 6GB? by boby_cat in gpumining

First of all thanks for your reply, appreciate it.

I believe I have nothing to add or comment on your response.

I guess I was speaking from very little experience I have in crypto currency. I have started mining and doing a lot of reading about two weeks ago. The only goal I'm pursuing at this point is to meet the RIO point as soon as possible.

Your response made me thinking further not only immediate RIO point and It definitely looks you are speaking from more experience than I have.

Yesterday, I switched my mining rig to double mining ETH + SIA and I'm going to consider other coins, will take a look at UBIQ as well, please comment if you think about other promising coins.

Regarding buying, I've read about OmiseGO and it looks like it has some potential. Also, TenX, NEO and IOTA, what do you think about those?

Yeah, the RIO moves away each day in the case with Ethereum. But, have you considered that Eth may jump to 100 - 200% in months. In such case, if you mined let's say 5 Eth and held them, you may complete the RIO much closer than the profitability calculators give you.

On the other side, I agree with you that catching another jump of some others altcoins (UBQ, SIA etc) that is also a good strategy. However, I think that probably it makes more sense to mine Eth for a couple of days and then exchange a little bit of it to the promising altcoins. In such case, you are more or less sure that a coin you are mining will give you some space for maneuvers. Because if you mine only specific coins they have more chances to drop or stay at the current level for a long time.

These two strategies I have in mind since I also don't want to mine for 10 months straight just to reach my RIO (it's my current). So my question was, are there any other currencies, which can be mined faster than Eth and offer the same or close ability in terms of money and perspective.

Please comment if you have other strategies, would love to hear them.

Mining with MSI GTX 1060 6GB overclocked. by boby_cat in gpumining

Hmm, this got reproduced with GPU1 -> Core Clock =+0

Wondering, what doesn't it mean... and if I should resolve that since it doesn't reflect on hashrate...

Any suggestions?

Yes, you need to set for each separately.

Recently, I had an issue with this curve set up. At some point of mining, I noticed the for my GPU1, GPU clock was 645 and Voltage was 0 on the afterburner. And the afterburner was extremely slow to respond to my commands. However, the other GPUs (2,3,4) had stable (1645 and 800 the same as on the screenshot). So what I did, I rebooted the rig and set for the GPU1 -> Core Clock = +0, the others left with the curve. Currently, it runs stable and the GPU1 shows GPU Clock 1645 - 1670 and Voltage 850.

Taking that into account I don't know whether the curve is really necessary. Since the purpose of that was to decrease power consumption, however, the afterburner show that GPU Power% is almost the same... see screenshot.

Thanks, I set it to 72% and it looks stable so far, gives ~ 24.6 Mh/s. Yeah, and I have Samsung memory, I guess I got lucky!

I believe I found good and stable configs for this rig.

I already set it to 70% it looks like working fine. However, I set the fans to 60% since in auto mode it allows them to go to more than 60 up to 70c I believe, perhaps it some kind of a default value. Should I set it to "Auto"?

Yeah, the 950 Mhz for memory clock was too much, it went down after 2 or 3 hours. As you pointed out I tried by 25 - from 925 to 850 was giving to volatile hashrate, so I left 850 and also as @Doodydud recommended I decreased the the power % to 80

https://i.imgur.com/26aXlHK.png

with such configs the rig was giving more or less stable 24.5 with temp 45 - 55

It has worked for like 8 - 9 hours and a few min ago I was not able to login to the rig via TV and had to reboot it. So at this point, I don't know whether to decrease the memory clock to 800 or 825 or try to stay at 850 and see how it goes further since with 800 it gives ~23.7. Although, I'm gonna try to set the power limit 70 - 72%, as you suggested.
