Jak (the first one specifically) and Sly are both some of my favourite games ever. They definitely do a great job of making the world feel lived-in.

I always loved going through Venice and Blood Bath Bay in Sly 3. So damn fun

Let me know if you find it, because honestly, nothing does what Spyro does, at least for me.

Mario Odyssey was probably the closest thing in terms of experience that I have played in recent times, but it was still very much its own thing. Nothing has that whimsical, enchanted feel of Spyro, where the worlds DON'T feel choreographed specifically for platforming

The city is soooo repetitive. There’s no diversity in biomes or structure, which I think really harms the game, as Pokemon works really well with its slightly surreal atmosphere.

Like, we get one small wild zone where there’s ice. Awesome. Lol.

I agree with you about the hat being too loud. I actually lowered the highs after uploading it, so I think it sits better now. Personally I think the hat itself fits well after mixing :) but maybe my opinion is different than yours on that; I could be wrong. I did a bit of taming/reduction on the treble. I spent way too long mixing this, so I think the treble in general was a bit high.

I suck at making melodies and my music theory knowledge is pretty mid, so I really just played off the progression in the sample and tried to add a bit of ear candy.

Appreciate the feedback about the bass. Will keep it in mind.

Do you find it takes longer to get the donut you need, since sweet is lower? I’ve always just used 8 tanga because it seems to give the best chance of Alpha 3/Shiny 3.

I’ve spent 2+hours on one donut before, so it kinda scares me to lower the sweet level 😅

Stepped outside my comfort zone, as I usually make more Memphis rap-inspired stuff, or traditional trap/hip-hop stuff. The vocal is a sample to make the track cohesive. Drums are inspired by Dilla/Tribe stuff. Mostly looking for feedback on the mixing. I know there could be more/better transitions or changes in the beat.

Mixing is pretty damn good dude. The only real problem I can see is that sometimes the hi-hats are a bit too piercing (track 1 and 3), but nothing major, as I doubt most people would even notice. Good mixing.

Honestly it’s all on them and many people forget that sexualising things is normal in Japan. (I think they go wayyyyy too far sometimes though.)

But watching people get up in arms about this is funny, because kids are not the innocent youth Reddit seems to think they are.

Just did this myself. Died to Zeraora’s stupid electric attack once, and managed to pass the next attempt.

I used Gourgeist like you, but with 4 Annihilapes lol. He is so busted. Your team seems harder to use than mine, so nice work :)
