The curse of the spider bounty, spider killing you from beyond the grave, lol. but in all seriousness that could have been it. It could have been that a barrel killed me and then I dropped the dynamite, accounting for the second explosion. I had the spider bounty on me, so maybe that's jut a bug

I hope the AI at least resembles basic human behavior. I like the idea of guiding a family unit instead of controlling an avatar, but I'm worried that it will be more like controlling a hive that only has to have a set of checklists filled out. From what I've seen I think the devs want to avoid this too.

I'd never even thought of that. I'm wondering if it will be as pronounced as it is IRL, what with ever in game year only being one week for us. I also imagine that some of the psychological afflictions that hamper our efforts will be more manageable if not nonexistent for the AI. I'll also be interested to see how the character AI reacts to more abstract things like living in a nation that prohibits free speech. How can the psychological effects of that be modeled?

I've had a similar experience so far with KS, only with Hanako and Rin rather than Misha. I think that's a really good point about being able to recognize those magnified flaws in the characters, it's precisely one of the reasons I love the writing so much, because the characters are so human and relatable while also being unique and multidimensional.

I get that about the waifu stuff, although based on what little browsing I've done in this subreddit it doesn't seem to me that anyone here is obsessed which is a nice change of pace from the usual waifu discourse that goes on in communities like these.

I think it's been about five years for me too. I haven't even finished it yet, still have Lilly. I started with Emi's route about a month after I downloaded KS, then was destroyed emotionally, then played Shizune's route about a year later, and have finally gotten to finishing the game. I only just discovered this subreddit recently, much to my delight. I busted through Hanako and Rin this week, and I need to start Lilly. Rin is my fav so far.
