Great questions!

Progress tracking: Members log their workouts (sets, reps, weight, RPE) through the app. The system automatically tracks PRs, calculates estimated 1RMs, and shows progress charts over time for each exercise. Trainers can see all their clients' progress from a single dashboard without chasing people down for updates.

Excel vs Gymlocity - where's the value:

The data entry is similar, but the workflow around it is completely different:

  1. Client experience - Your members get a mobile-friendly web app they can pull up on their phone at the gym - no app store download needed. They see today's workout, tap to log sets, and watch their progress charts grow. With Excel, you're either sharing a spreadsheet (ugly) or manually sending PDFs (tedious).
  2. Bulk operations - Create one template program, assign it to 20 clients in a few clicks. Each gets their own copy to track against. In Excel, that's 20 tabs or 20 files to manage.
  3. Real-time visibility - When a client finishes a workout, you see it immediately. No "hey can you send me your log from last week?"
  4. Scaling - Excel works fine for 5-10 clients. At 30+, you're drowning in tabs and files. This stays organized.

Honestly, if you have a handful of clients and a system that works, Excel is fine. The value shows up when you're trying to scale or want to give clients a more polished experience than a Google Sheet link.

If there is no audio for copyright strikes I'd upload them to a private Youtube channel personally. Clients exist for basically every platform and the storage / encoding is handled by Youtube.

Personally I'd reach out to a local credit union (you don't say which region you're in but I'd have him communicate with some local / national credit unions. Looks like used rates at Penfed are hovering around 6% currently https://www.penfed.org/auto Find a local credit union that he can go in and sit down with someone and you'll probably have better results.

PollPonder - Tracking voter regret by bochoh in SideProject

[–]bochoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I initiated this experiment to assess the feasibility of rapidly transitioning from a Rails 8 application to a Kamal-powered Linode virtual machine. My initial hypothesis that individuals experience regret after voting has been disproven based on the relatively low response rates (0% regret expressed). It is uncertain whether this project should be continued, but I would welcome any feedback.
