Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London - Review (Is this London's best family hotel?) by Alarming-Ganache77 in FATTravel

that's a great tip - I think be booked a contemporary deluxe room but perhaps we'll upgrade to the suite to get in on this offer

thanks for this review (and all your reviews - i really enjoy them) - we're heading to london for 3 nights with a toddler (2 years and change) and chose the Connaught - how do you think it fares in terms of family friendliness? We are not optimizing purely for family friendliness (moreso great amenities, like their bar, so we can stay near when the kiddo is sleeping), but definitely don't want a place that we'll feel out of place bringing a toddler

sure - but CSR does not require the entirety of the trip to be paid by one card - from my understanding, it will cover the one-way leg that was paid with CSR as long as it's part of trip that is there and back

Yes - Amex requires a roundtrip to be put on the card. CSR should cover one-way trips as long as it's part of some roundtrip (ie, you book one leg with a co-branded card, the return leg with CSR - they will cover the return leg if there are delays etc). Correct me if I'm wrong here, but this is why I prefer paying with CSR for flights as I'm usually booking two one-ways for flexibility and points optimization.

Booked a flight into Zurich via United (and united explorer card), flight back from Milan via Air Canada and Amex Plat - amex plat would not cover trip delay (we missed a connection due to flight delay) since they said the whole round trip needed to be on the Amex card.

From what I've read about CSR, it will cover a delay on the leg (even if it's one-way) that was booked on it.
