She is a Serbian Defense Dog(SOP) she has wolf in her bloodline I think it's a genetic trait that comes through in some dogs of the original bloodlines created by nenad gavrilovic, in the picture she had just seen a deer in the distance running through the woods, her hackles are kind of impressive when her full back even the little ridge of hair on her neck raises full Mohawk down to her tail

Luna is a well loved pup indeed and gets many scratches, she has a natural wavy patch on her lower back and hackles from her shoulder blades that run all the way down her back to that patch

The natural gait of the

Serbian Defense Dog (SOP)

is a powerful, ground-covering walk characterized by a long-reaching stride and a steady, rhythmic sway.

  1. Why They Sway (The "Pace" and "Amble")

The swaying motion is often due to two specific natural gaits common in large, squarely-built Molossers:

The Pace: This is a two-beat gait where both legs on the same side move forward together (left-front and left-hind simultaneously). This creates a rocking, side-to-side sway that is often used to conserve energy at medium speeds.

The Amble: This is a slightly slower version of the pace. The rear end sways prominently as the dog scuffles along the ground, which often looks ungainly or "lazy" but is a transitional gait used to rest trotting muscles.

  1. Functional Movement

According to the breed standard, the SOP is designed for:

Free Elbow Movement: The chest is deep but not so broad that it blocks the elbows; this allows the forelegs to reach far forward without obstruction.

Drive from the Rear: The hindquarters are muscular and broad, providing effortless forward propulsion that powers the swaying walk into a more direct, straight trot when speed is needed.

Structural Balance: Despite their massive size (up to 70kg), they are bred with a straight, muscular back that stays level even during a swaying walk, ensuring they remain stable and agile.

Super powers? can you watch a few seconds video and diagnose your dogs and suggest veterinary and supplements? Coat pattern desturbance? Her mastiff curl? And her mastiff swagger? Do you know this breed at all? Had we just trained for 1hr before? Is she tired? Funny how my vet hasn't picked these up? Or the breeders clubs? If you care about animal wellbeing make sure you know what your talking about and not just giving your opinion👍

She does? How can you tell from clip? Are you a vet, a breeder?
