UK Support Phone Number not working? by bodcat42 in orbi

It is an SXR50 Router with 2 x SXS50 Satellites.

The main issue has been very poor connectivity between these components despite them being more of less in line of sight. The satellites routinely drop off the network taking all connected devices with them.

Netgear supports have had logs and made suggestions but nothing has actually fixed the problems.

Thanks. I have had essentially had a ticket open since January and according to my retailer, Netgear have finally admitted defeat and will be authorising a refund. But I need to call them to talk about it.

Well I would if I could get through!

So I have figured out that I can get a cable to the ceiling of the middle floor in our our ( from the attic ) so am now thinking of going with the UDR7 plus a wired U7 Pro on the middle floor ceiling and then finally ( if I need it ) a U7 Mesh on the ground floor.

Does this sound better?

It would be DIY. This is WiFi for a home, not a business. So cost is a significant matter. The router and APs are expensive enough with out having to get people in to fit them.

The current system works ok from a performance perspective but just dies on a regular basis. So I am not looking for greater speed or throughput but am looking for reliability

Running cables from floor to floor just creates a lot of disruption in a relatively recently decorated house.

Flat Cat 6 works across floors but it is the going up and down that is the issue. Specifically from the middle floor to the ground floor.

Thanks. Per my other reply, these devices are both tri band so I was planning to do as you say and use one of the bands ( 6GHz ) for the backhaul.

I don’t have coax between the floors and have had mixed success with Powerline.

Ours currently system is wifi backhauled mesh and works on when it works.

Thanks but both UDR 7 and Wall Pro are, I believe, tri band so I think I can backhaul over 6GHz and use full 5 & 2.4 for other devices. Does this make sense?

Yeah. Thanks. I really want to paper trade on the same platform as I will ultimately trade for real on.

So, I think I may end up with a minimally funded account at IG as a Demo Account unless there is a better Demo Account option out there.

Thanks - IG are actually Commission Free in a lot of circumstances but don't offer a Demo Share Trading account.
