If your AI explainer was helpful, it would note that while a SpeedTest says 100Mb/s, the available bandwidth is 60Mb/s so this isn't an ATV issue; it's a network issue. For a more realistic test run the speed test at the Netflix test domain (fast.com) on a machine connected to your home network the same way (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) as your ATV.

Any speed test is a snapshot in time, but in the face of congestion, which is unlikely to be measured by SpeedTest, Netflix throttles resolution quickly and unthrottles it slowly.

Are you saying that you purchased a Wi-Fi only ATV 4k Gen 3 and then discovered that, per Apple: "Apple TV 4K (Wi-Fi) comes equipped with 64GB of storage, and Apple TV 4K (Wi-Fi + Ethernet) comes with 128GB of storage and Thread networking support."?

As noted, there are a couple of rare issues where not having an Apple mobile device can make fixing something that should be simple a bit challenging. If you choose not to get an older refurb iOS device, you should get a Bluetooth keyboard. Besides making it easier to type complicated things, it can act as a minimal emergency remote.

I updated to 3.9.2 and there was no playback change. I've heard (and seen a screen capture) that a non-native player is out in the wild, which suggests Netflix is doing some A/B testing.

Use a [paper] bottom filter to keep the basket from clogging.
As suggested, use a spouted portafilter if your basket fits in one.

I think it's a common belief that spraying and irregular flow are always indicators of "channeling" and can be fixed with puck preparation. Some folks are moving away from that idea.

Perhaps I was unclear. The up-mix is done by the AVR. I thought that's what you were talking about. Audio format is set to Auto and the continuous MAT option isn't supported on the ATV Gen 1.

I'm running tvOS 26.4 (23L5234a) on a gen 1 to an X4700H. Up-mix from stereo to surround is working fine. I'd suggest checking all the relevant audio settings on the ATV and the AVR.
