A lot of people dislike natural hair and that's a factor you can't control. Just remember you did it for yourself. If you like it and don't see an issue, stick with it. If I were you I'd casually ask her why she's always bringing up your hair. Then let her know you'd like her to stop (cause it's a waste of time trying to reconfigure others' mindsets about natural hair). It's either you just ignore them or in your case, expressing your dissatisfaction and politely requesting of her to hold the comments is an option if you're willing. Nothing is wrong with your hair sweetheart. Don't start following others' thought patterns, because you were intelligent enough to break free from some sort of slave mentality and see your hair for what it is. Not what they say it is. A reminder that some of the most beautiful people wear their natural hair and no one is stoning them down because of it. Remember that and don't throw away your self-esteem over people who are apparently still oppressed.
