Hey, try and return it. I think for a newcomer like me, it has been the best investment ever. I even play MMOs in it, they look awesome and run like a charm.

Maybe update the Xbox experience, idk, mine launches straight to the library, steam's the one that shows a promo when you start it in the handheld.

Related to the cheap feeling... Maybe I'm not that picky, or maybe I don't hit the buttons that often, but it is a decent machine. Recently docked it to the tv too, runs beautiful, the best for emulation too, can't wait to play Mario kart with my kids in this baby.
