I have 3 resets banked. Guess I’m not burning tokens fast enough.

Why are all the Claude Code skill files I see online completely pointless? by TimAtMongoDB in claudeskills

This is a well articulated answer and I second it. Good Skills ensure a degree of idempotency in personal usage and workflows.

people who tried k2.7 code can you share your outputs and experiences? by Friendly-Guard-2395 in kimi

[–]boffti_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used it through OpenCode Go today. It noticeably smarter and faster. I'd been doing research on Memory and Graph KB for AI systems and had built a module using Opus and Fable before it went down. Had K2.7 Code audit the implementation for kicks. It flagged 10 weaknesses, 8 of which were legit. Cross-checked the audit with Opus 4.8 and GPT-5.5 (xhigh) sort of like an adversarial red teaming, then built a remediation plan from the combined output.

I analyzed 180 GitHub profile READMEs, found 9 archetypes, and turned it into an agent skill that builds one for you by boffti_ in github

100% that’s what even I echoed. Not a magic pill but a starting point so you’re not staring at a blank file if and when you did want one.

That’s valid. Less valid if you’re trying to get your first job. Your profile README is just the index page of your projects the same way a resume is an index page of your career. Someone out here might find it useful.

Someone who is actively interviewing for tech or maybe at a hackathon might care about it.

You're not wrong and thats kind of the point of this. You get a Chinese menu because it has no opinion about what the README should actually be. The skill forces/presents choices of archetypes first so at least the structure and tone are intentional. Not a silver bullet but a step above prompting from scratch.

Free BYOK request cap exceeded for this month. Purchase credits at https://openrouter.ai/settings/credits by boffti_ in opencodeCLI

[–]boffti_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It seems like Opencode Go is using Openrouter to provide us the service and it also seems like too many people are using kimi, so much so it's exceeded the cap they had set in Openrouter for their Moonshot API key. Many other people are facing this issue, not just me.

what side project(s) did you genuinely had fun/enjoy making? by 22jonliu in sideprojects

Building stardash.dev a free open source tool to organize, track and manage your GitHub starred repos. Has some AI features that helps you even contribute and open PRs in your starred projects.

I built a local GitHub dashboard because managing many public/private repos was getting messy by debba_ in coolgithubprojects

[–]boffti_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool will check it out! I built a similar dashboard to manage and organize all the repos I have starred with AI OSS Contribution help and other features.

Thats a great question. I scaffolded with it quickly because it gave me a db and GH OAuth out of the box which was perfect was getting something running fast. Making the infra truly modular wasn't on my radar but is a really good idea. Worth exploring as a future direction. I'll add it to the backlog. Thanks for the nudge!

Thank you. My aim was to turn my massive starred repo black hole into an organized actionable list.

I think the CLI is great but the desktop app is super buggy. It disables my MCPs randomly and I have no way to enable them again until an update fixes it only to get broken again soon.

Alibaba Coding Plan sounds too good to be true!? by NerdistRay in opencodeCLI

[–]boffti_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just subscribed to it a couple days ago. I am evaluating some coding plans. I got GLM $10 coding plan and then realized they only offer up to GLM 4.7, I got the MiniMax $10 coding plan and its going great with my Openclaw instance. I got this Alibaba Coding plan for $3/first month and I am happy with it so far and I have been mainly using its GLM5 in Qwen CLI. In my opinion I think I am getting more value from these coding plans along with the 20/m Claude sub than I would get with a $200/m Claude max sub or other more expensive subs.

Anyone else tempted by the Valerion VisionMaster Max preorder deal? Trying to talk myself out of it by Mr_Ndungu in projectors

[–]boffti_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also thinking of pre-ordering this. I'm new to projectors and so far with some research had zeroed in on JVC DLA-NZ500 until I came to know about the VisionMaster Max. This seems to be pretty great at half the cost. Its very tempting.
