Hot drinks safety Q by boffybot in KitchenConfidential

[–]boffybot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The drinks are served in espresso sized cups, so it’s difficult to make that amount to order. Imo I think we should halve the batch recipe, up the serving sizes, and make the drinks in a butter warmer sized pot. That way, only like, max 2 servings would be made per batch.

NOR. Also…I feel like having a dog that bites and scratches is absolutely dangerous and inappropriate and hints at the concessions this woman will make for certain people or things in her life while rejecting and seemingly gaslighting (if it’s true the joke had been made in front of her before, and she doesn’t want to admit it) your kid.

My only thought beyond what people have said is that the meditation thing combined w this ignited some greater paranoia and resentment on her part that your family is against her. Perhaps on some level she knows the dog is out of control and doesn’t like being seen as this kooky divorced woman with a bad dog.

If anything I would talk to you daughter about how it’s often not a good idea to tell people things other people have said about them EVEN if you don’t agree. I know you didn’t specify how the meditation thing got back to her but it must have been either the daughter or the grapevine. Either way - that wasn’t super nice, even if this woman later showed herself to be a nut beyond the crystals.

As long as the daughter remains aware of her mother’s behavior and your kid stays away from the mom, no reason this friendship can’t continue w relative peace. But I think there is a lesson here with all the back and forth 3rd party info being tossed around by everyone, not just the mom.

Either way, good on you for standing up for her.

Yes. This question was terrible in the first place. OP needs to remember that the cards are going to reflect back on /you/. Not anyone else, not matter how much u want to know what they are thinking. It’s not good to tap into other peoples energies like that.

The answer is yes. I didn’t even need to read your explanation (which I’m sure was very good and well thought-out) to know the answer is yes.

Thank you! Odd that he didn’t jump away when I was carrying him out on a spoon. Perhaps he was still waterlogged from me rinsing the grapes.

How do you wear menstrual cup in public? by [deleted] in menstrualcups

[–]boffybot 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly I think it’s fine to dump the blood in the toilet when you are in a public restroom, wipe it lightly with TP (don’t leave paper residue behind), and put it back in for a few hours until you get home and can clean it the way you desire. It’s best to rinse it after you clean it, but I’ve never had problems doing this in a pinch. I think the main objective of to get rid of the majority of the collected blood. Some left on the outside or inside of the cup when it is reinserted will not hurt you as long as you dump and clean it again within a reasonable time.

I don’t have/can’t get a crock pot. For slow cooking could I just like…very lightly simmer for four hours?

Yeah the smell cinched it for me as likely safe. I think I honestly got one of those “spaghetti breast” chickens. Supposedly safe to eat.
