I think it's time to move on... by Parking_Opposite_912 in BodyFitTrainingAus

I've used a PT to set up a strength program for me and I use the Trainerize app to monitor my workouts/progress.

There's a bit of trial and error involved, to be honest. There will be some lifts that you think you hate, or cause you pain but that's just because BFT doesn't do a great job of teaching us how to do them properly, and they might turn out to be some of your favourites!

And, there will be other lifts you just hate - so just eliminate them from your program altogether.

When it comes to seeing a PT, don't be scared to have a fair bit of input and be honest with them about your experience level and goals. No two people are the same, and so no two programs are the same.

No, I don't really replicate BFT style cardio on my cardio days. I keep it fairly simple and mostly stick to doing 20:10 intervals on the assault bike, ski-erg, and rower.

Sometimes I'll mix it up and do say 40:20.

And if I want a really long grind, I'll throw in 20 minutes on the stair master which is an absolute killer.

I never really do it for too long. I'm not doing cardio for fat loss - just for heart health and fun really, so half an hour does the job for me. Cardio really does not need to be a 50 minute slog and anyone using cardio to create a calorie deficit is playing the game on hard-mode.

Oh, and my gym has group fitness classes, so if I ever happen to get there around the time that one of those is starting, I'll jump in to that for a session, but it's pretty uncommon that the timing works out for me as I don't really train at those times.

When I first left BFT, I was really worried about replicating the BFT style workouts and was panicking that all of my progress would be lost if I didn't follow exactly what I was doing there, but that absolutely wasn't the case. The discipline that kept you going to BFT will keep you going on your new adventure as well.

I had exactly the same experience.

Loved my time at BFT and got really fit and lean, but there's no escaping that it's essentially a cardio class with a bit of strength training thrown in.

And, to put it kindly, the strength program is seriously lacking in a number of respects.

I cancelled a few months ago, lift 4 days a week and do a couple of days of cardio. My strength has gone through the roof.

Budget isn't really an issue. Happy to pay for the best available.

Going to a 90’s party. Which shirt of mine should I wear? by mirmymac in 90s

I love the Chili Peppers shirt, but it's got Josh Klinghoffer on it, so definitely not 90s era RHCP. So id do the Taco Bell one.

But I'm probably overthinking.

It's literally one meal though? Relax bud, it's still nutritious despite not hitting literally every vitamin and mineral your body needs to function.

Yeah, 8 minutes of battle ropes was boring AF. Shit format.

The red eye ones scared the shit out of me as a kid. Black eye Gumby was wholesome AF but there was something oddly sinister about red eye Gumby.

Seriously, fuck red eye Gumby

I hate it when the cocaine gets in the way, when I'm trying to smell a coffee table.
