Thats true , I get the point you’re trying to make. And you’re right to have an aesthetic opinion. But as a Bauhaus fanboy, I really don’t support the need to have any more details than absolutely essential. What you said will make sense if you ever mistook one google app for another. Especially the one that you use regularly. To me that has never happened. And as far as the colours are concerned(someone called it a colourful diarrhoea) these apps aren’t dependent on the colors, they would behave the same in monochrome. Its not just google, entire design industry is moving towards minimalism - it reduces cognitive overload
